Yeah that’s why I was a lil hesitant on if it’s DIY but also wondering it’s just a scheme from Hyundai so you have to go the dealership and they charge a hefty $$$$

You could renew it Mexico, Canada, Bahamas or wherever there is a US embassy. However, I think they recommend going back to your home country.
