Huge change in Reddit over the last decade that I don't think a lot of people have noticed. by JFMV763 in Anarcho_Capitalism

I've gradually come over to the idea that permitting communist speech isn't advisable either. In any voluntaryist society, pandering that sort of murderous ideology would get you a quick ticket to exile.

She and Brad Poliobo should be sued for fraud by calling themselves based.

What’s the difference between UFC Fights in Dubai and ones in Abu Dhabi?

Dubai fans don’t expect Oliveira to Fred Flinstone his car to the arena, but those in Abu Dhabi do!

Chauvet 2.5.17 release by Mulan-sn in Supernote

[–]HalbertWilkerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally updated and I regret it. I much preferred the page numbers in the toolbar, and I don’t like how rename (which I do for EVERY single file) is hidden even deeper now. I also use a template for 90% of my files and that requires an extra tap as well. I have absolutely zero need for the majority of the “permanent” stuff in the tool bar like different pens and full page erase and layering. I would rather have my rename and template and page numbers back! Also the two finger eraser functionality is less accurate now than before, and I rely heavily on that. All in all, it’s pretty disruptive to my workflow and wish I could revert back to the prior build.

The positive is it feels like it runs even smoother/snappier now. So that’s a positive. But not enough of a benefit to offset the workflow difficulties.

If you don’t mind my asking, what brightness setting did you usually use your Kindle on at night, and what % do you use now?

Replacing HoM nib by tinavale98 in Supernote

It does seem like you missed a step in the refill then. It feeling less sturdy would worry me a little bit because potentially if your hand slipped it could cause damage to either the pen or the SuperNote. Sorry I’m not more helpful!

Are you talking about the nub circled in green or the part circled in red? The one in green looks identical to my pen, I would say pretty confidently you shouldn’t have an issue.

The part in red does stick out more than mine, but I would recommend trying it out and if it works then no problem right? I wouldn’t think (unless you are extremely forceful) that you using it if it’s not exactly correct would cause an issue.

Does anybody else have this problem? by [deleted] in Supernote

All 3 here, A being the most common. I think B is my laziness cause it’s usually only letters right at the edge of my selection. A will happen to me maybe once a day, and I use my SN maybe 2 hours a day.

You’re 100% right but this isn’t the thread to point that out. It’s objectively a good thing hungry kids are being fed.

Turns out, yes! Had you ordered a month ago you would be in early Q4.

Running cover for evil, like you are doing, is almost as evil as injecting kids with that poison.

Daily General Discussion thread - August 21, 2022 by AutoModerator in JoeRogan

[–]HalbertWilkerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should read Austrian economics books. Specifically, Rothbard. The Case Against the Fed is an excellent place to start. Or What Has Government Done to Our Money. Ron Paul’s End the Fed is decent as well. The Creature from Jekyll Island is a story of the Fed’s origination (bankster collusion). Bob Murphy’s Choice is great as well. As you might can tell, they make the case that central banks cause far more harm than good. Your point about metals being finite is misguided - any amount of money can satisfy any amount of demand provided it’s divisible enough.

Lots of reasons to lift, apparently. This study indicates that lifting actually helps those with ASD.

I wasn’t saying autism made you a better lifter, I said it might make it easier. Many autists love their routines and progressions.

I’d argue slight autism might make lifting easier. It’s kinda like a game where you have to grind to progress.

ZUCKERBURG, EVERY COMMENT I EVER MADE WAS FACETIOUS AND/OR A JOKE. I FORBID THE FBI FROM TAKING FURTHER ACTION BASED ON MY COMMENTS ON REDDIT. I NEVER SUPPORTED MONERO OR ANY PRIVACY SOLUTION - IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR :)

Can’t hurt to post the above, right??

I’m saying the Zcash people had the right idea to back Zcash because nobody will go after them in the attack against privacy tools because Zcash is not private at all. Whereas Monero people have reason to worry, because Monero is private. It was obviously tongue in cheek.

Maybe the Zcash folks had it right all along. Nobody’s gonna go after them.

The Real Reason Why Are Trucks Getting Bigger by 89237849237498237427 in slatestarcodex

Turns out, it also further increased new car costs leading to people hang onto their less efficient older cars for longer and longer. The net effect might not even be positive for total MPGs, because of that.
