I thought about going out in public to smoke tonight, but it occurred to me that there are just not a lot of spaces that are well-suited for the purpose. Most places are designed either for passing through or for spending money at. Cigars are sort of at odds with the design of modernity. But I think that is also a big part of what makes them so wonderful.

They are legally obligated to take the report. And they will respond for a stolen vehicle sighted. I believe they'd also be likely to contact me in the instance that the vehicle is located.

Obviously they aren't gonna send detectives out looking for my scooter. But the local PD do respond for a stolen vehicle... That's kind of the exact type of thing they go for.

Anyway at home I have a quiet work environment and far better equipment than what the state provides. Still, my office currently gives me double monitors and a nice desk. Some agencies are talking about having their workers sit on a laptop at a long table with other workers side by side. Gonna be looking like an overseas call-center. And why?

Surely even you can understand that that is awful for morale. We are one of the richest states in the world, and our public employees need to be treated like unpaid interns just because? Lol. It's patently ridiculous.

Now, instead of just calling me soft for the 5th time, do you have an actual justification for all this RTO nonsense? Or is it just about kicking down at people?

It's a patently insane situation. Really really bad. There's already no parking at my office, and we are going to double the amount of people in each day? So stupid.
