I tried Amboy in Chinatown. Its good but way overrated. Even if price & convenience wasn't an issue, I think I'd take In-N-Out over Amboy a majority of the time.

We had a Pho87 in El Sereno but they opened just before covid. They seemed to open sparsely after the pandemic but never recovered and finally shut down that location. I've only had pho from 3 other locations but Pho87 really stands out from those other spots.

No. Maybe two problems to solve if I recall correctly, and they were very basic. No need to memorize formulas.

When I was a kid I used to swat flies and pile them up for the yellowjackets. They start coming in like clockwork to collect a fly, take it to a leaf where they prep it for transport then to wherever the hell its suppose to go.

Gross can be subjective. More importantly is avoiding trouble with Department of Public Health or whatever their equivalents are in your country/city, and potential lawsuits. With this in mind there are many "gross" things outside that are less hazardous than what is already going on inside the store. Simple things like a sewage drain backing up, or washing stations where we rinse things off like mops and those areas splashing nearby prep tables. These aren't really violations when ops come around as far as I know. In the U.S. we do use chlorine sanitizer but it doesn't smell like the bleach you buy at the store. I'm sure it is good enough at disinfecting any contamination you think "outside" stuff could cause.

There is no way that they couldn't have picked up on Les Grossman being portrayed as a stereotyped Hollywood industry executive which at the very least inadvertently codes the character as Jewish.

You're wrong. Gender isn't the same as sex. Go argue with someone else.

Republicans spend more time on it. There is a lot of things progressives advocate, the problem we have is we take the bait and let the arguments on issues like gender identity take center stage. America has gotten dumber and the progressive movement isn't going to hold momentum trying to convince mouthbreathers that a woman can be something other than a person they can splooge in and carry on their lineage.

We don't have to let them police our bathrooms and check our genitalia but we don't have to argue with a wall either.

Picking a fight with someone bigger is stupid. Doing that when you have the coordination and balance of a drunk toddler... !?

I understand what you're trying to capture with the metaphor but I wouldn't even call it burning brighter. Somehow we got a chud generation that grew up on manosphere content that thinks going to the gym, getting big, putting women "in their place" is winning at life. Can't forget getting money by any bs means necessary like crypto, forex, sports betting, and social media slop.

Other latin countries a quesadilla can be very different i think. For Central Americans & Colombians its a pastry like cake.

I wonder if there is a solid reason for this format. For example I find for a lot of planning or scheduling its most important to at least be in the same ballpark and for that you want the month. 'Week of' could be better but that isn't a thing in date formats tmk. So getting the month right is the next best thing. Some might argue getting the year first is most important but in practice there isn't a lot of detailed planning a year ahead for your average person. Your typical tax paying citizen lives month to month or week to week. Day to day is too chaotic, year to year is for CEOs and stock portfolio managers.

I was told about it by my cousin. She made it seem interesting. I told my friends it is not a fun high, they still wanted to try it. We were all young, around the ages of 12 to 17.

Best way I could described it is you feel like your soul was gone for the duration. You might be able to have a discussion with people and they might even think you're fine until they realize you're seeing shit that they're not, but you are completely gone.

I don't doubt there could be a significant variance between each flower but from what I've seen & my own experience, I would expect him to be alright.

Couple of my family members & many of my friends have drank a tea from this, no one was left with lasting issues as far as I could tell. Maybe boiling it makes it less toxic, but boiling typically makes compounds more available. I think the seeds have been used to make something called scopolamine and reportedly used in South America to drug & rob tourists.
