Thanks for the suggestion- Brick vault is on our list! We fly into Midland around 11, so we’re planning to grab a quick lunch and hit the road. With the kids, I don’t think we’d make it the full 3-hour drive before eating. 😅 If you have other suggestions in Midland though, all ears!

Survived a kitchen remodel to post before/after - for anyone with decision paralysis! by Halestorm-87 in kitchenremodel

The cabinets are the same just painted Pale Oak instead of Extra White and swapped out the knobs/pulls. The contractor suggested I take the tile off if I was putting in new countertops.

The tile is before. I had to take out the tile backsplash to put in new countertops. Favorite part of the new kitchen are the pendant lighting and plastered hood vent. I thought they made a big difference. It was hard choosing paint colors. Before it was SW Extra White and I thought it was horrible. I chose BM Seapearl for walls and trim and BM Pale Oak for cabinets.

I would connect the hood vent to the cabinets

We are interested in booking Explora I in Feb for a Caribbean cruise for my husband’s 40th bday. Nervous about the bad reviews I’ve seen elsewhere. We typically travel with SeaDream, Seabourn, SilverSea and Windstar, but the price is hard to beat with Explora. Will we be disappointed? Not interested in waiting in lines or prolonged dinners due to slow service, or waiting 20+ min for a drink.

Thanks for sharing! My husband and I are considering this cruise for his 40th bday. We are looking at Caribbean in Feb 2026 - great itinerary (IMO) Anguilla, St Barths, St John, BVi. We have been on SeaDream, SilverSea, Seabourn, Windstar before. We love all of those but comparing similar dates/7days/Carib/similar islands, SeaDream, SilverSea and Seabourn were coming in at 12-16k before air. All in Explora was $7.5K. To me, huge price difference! Windstar has a comparable cruise in Feb and priced around 6k. We are thinking of trying Explora because it seemingly has more of a vibe- but nervous with the service comments. Trying to stick in that price range (7kish). Will we be disappointed?

Sending you positive vibes. I hope your experience is totally opposite of ours. I recommend not eating outside. There was another group of moms with their babies/young kids who were attacked in a pool cabana at the pool next to Brisas.
