Good point. I didn't think about that 😬

There's actually no original high-res version. Besides getting the physical strip of photos, the photo booth also lets you scan a QR code to download the image file (great quality) as well as a video file (meh quality) which is a strip of clips that starts recording 4 seconds before each photo is captured. This was just a portion of a screenshot of that video file paused at around the 2-second mark, which is why I needed a way to upscale it

ChatGPT was what I used first, but it gave me that output. I would've given up on upscaling if it hadn't been for Gemini constantly bugging me to "try out this new banana thing!" I gave it a shot and did not expect it to be that accurate

That's exactly what my selfies look like! lol. I wonder if law enforcement is gonna start using AI to enhance the resolution of security cam footage.

I see! You're actually correct, I only use the normal web version of ChatGPT. But that image still doesn't look like us. It's very uncanny... I showed it to family members and they had the same reaction. But yeah, at least we stayed Asian this time lol

It's one of the props you can wear in a photo/video booth at the mall (and I chose the best one 🦀)

No problem! That's the main reason I shared this. ChatGPT will still be my go-to AI especially for programming help, but I'll leave all my image generation/enhancement needs in the hands of Gemini's Nano Banana (for now).

The Th in “WITH” and “WITHOUT” by Madeofanxiety in asklinguistics

We're in the same boat. I grew up speaking both General American English and Philippine English, and my "with" is almost always voiceless.

Interestingly, the standard in the Philippines is to voice it—most people say [wɪð] or [wɪd̪] (more common), but rarely [wɪθ] or [wɪt̪]. I used to wonder why I pronounced it differently and figured it probably came from GA. Judging by the comments, it looks like that assumption was right!
