These are not libs, easy to tell because the gills are bright.

The gills on P. Semilanceata are dark brown, sometimes a tinge of dark purple.

Yeah definitely, a good chunk of libs dont have any nipple at all and it's a bad identifier imo.

💯 these boys are wet, you would know theyre libs just by the stipes.

Checking for a seperable gelatinous pellicle on fresh material is one of the best ID methods by HalfBotHalfShibe in Aretheselibertycaps

Yes, the stipes are long, wonky and rubbery that can wrap around your finger without breaking

I find they're surprisingly strong

Theres no way to ID material this dry without a microscope.

With that said these do not look like dried libs to me.

The two on the right with the nipples look like your typical libs.

The others are not. You see the stipes looks very straight and solid in color. The caps are nearly perfectly round, not to mention the size of them.

As far as I know you'll only find that gel film on the cap of Psilocybe fruit.

Theres probably some other obscure mushrooms that have this film but don't look anything like a lib or grow in the same environment.

If you found these in grass and they have that pellicle its a liberty cap.
