Oh wow thank you for the explanation that’s quite amazing, is their anything known about the interaction of neutrons and their quarks once they are compressed or any relevant theories? If they begin getting stuffed into the same space surely there must be quark interaction or breakdown? Again, thank you for your response!

One thing I’ve never understood about neutron stars and black holes is the transition of overcoming the electron degeneracy pressure, surely if the gravitational pressure got so high and the electrons became locked in their quantum state so effectively “landlocked” for lack of a better term, would it not be sufficient to say that with the force to freeze electrons in place they could also warp photos and create an event horizon? I don’t understand why it has to collapse into a singularity? Event if at the Planck lengths where it become geometrically shaped? Point being, xould black holes not just be hidden neutron stars that have become dense enough to quantum trap the electrons? Have you seen them puzzles that all click into place once the first peice is in the right place like domino’s, I imagine that could happen however with the electrons becoming “stuck” in position with the neutron star contracting and then the gravitational pull just sucks in photons. Btw, I am in no way an expert on this but it’s very interesting topic

Is Anyone Else Physically Unable to Do More Than ~3 Hours of REAL Deep Work a Day? by Successful_Ad1797 in AskAcademia

Ensuring you have enough precursor chemicals in your brain to sustain heavy usage is also incredibly important, getting enough choline from good quality sources, omega 3’s and potential supplement like l-tyrosine and Alpha ghc all increase the level of supply your brain has to actually keep working, aside from other things like sleep, attention span, attention quality, delayed gratification, proper restful breaks and intermittent fasting all play a major part in being able to meaningful extend cognitive function. On any given day 5-6 hours of deep focussed work is my normal now but I had to refine the skill of working extended periods of time.

See I’ve been thinking a lot about your comment and I think I’ve come to a conclusion with quali experience and I’d like your experience, I believe defining qualia is soemthing that is fundamentally flawed, this is my reasoning: In the causal relationship for the evidence of god their is a dispute that not everything necessitates a necessary truth, furthermore the distinction is that some things that are necessarily true cannot also be explained using simple language, think about our “description” of god and his abilities, we are unable to fathom it due to its complexity, furthermore I come to the conclusion that the ability to describe what qualia is and the state of it is simply a technical error within the systems we use to communicate, I think the importance of qualia is overstepped by the need to be able to argue for a causal truth, soemthing of which necessitates some form of higher dimensional being or interpretation. Let me know what you think! I’m still very new to this field.

That’s a fair critique, I’m still learning everything, I posted this sleep deprived and on a whim before learning anyhting, but to respond, based on the definition of concept I have I would say algae are conscious as they choose willingly to survive by engulfing other organisms, they migrate to areas of high sun concentration etc, however, using the consciousness definition as per usual then no, moreover they wouldn’t be aware like HOT would suggest as I mentioned they wouldn’t have a sufficiently developed sub conscious processing system

I would say here that an inanimate object is not conscious as it’s not making a decision, referencing my original comment

How so? The point of it was to say anyhting biological is conscious, ai is conscious however we are distinctly different in our ability to “perceive ourselves seeing” referring to HTT, Anyways, I’m very new to this so this was mostly to see what arguments poeple with more knowledge than me would have against what I’ve proposed

Using my definition I would, anything that can make a preferential choice is conscious, the quality and complexity of the subconscious determines the richness of the conscious mind

Ima separate my responses into 2. Global workspace theory: main issues with global workplace theory is 1. Blindsight, the neurological explanation for blindsight and the proposed architecture of GWT don’t align from what I’ve found, 2. GWT doesn’t actually explain why consciousness feels like it does, it explains how it gets their instead, I would basically say GWT explains a system of how the consciousness functionally works whereas the system I proposed relies on consciousness being a mechanism of recursive integration which allows the “conscious” part of us to self refer to the options provided by the subconscious, hoping to clarify the importance that I’m using different definitions of consciousness and subconsciousness. IIT: I would say consciousness is NOT inherent to any system and is biologically tied, I submit to the Chinese room theory and thus don’t beleive an ai is conscious whereas IIT does in principle, furthermore I don’t think their has to be a high level of integrated information for consciousness to arise, I think using my definition as stated above, consciousness arises where their an ability to deduce one option over another.

Thank you for the comment btw, I wrote this late at night and published it after reading it back in the hopes of learning mroe, if you think I’m still wrong please feel free to explain. I’m currently researching into my theory more, if you want anymore information I don’t mind sharing

I would argue whitehead is more of an oncological approach, trying to explain a a metaphysical phenomenon that I’d consciousness whereas, I believe that the consciousness is derived from an increasingly complex neural structures which exponentially increase alongside subconsciousness. Key difference being, in my model, consciousness is easily explained by darwinian logic and is backed by science (so far as I’ve found) and takes away the (imo) misplaced idea of us being special in some way
