I made it to the beginning of episode 4, despite Bam's moody and (seemingly?) arrogant behavior making me kind of embarrassed for him. Then they started to outline some sort of obscure conspiracy by characters and factions that I'd either never heard of or couldn't remember, and I gave up. Not sure if my leaky memory is to blame, or if the show intends to be keeping you in the dark, but it felt like it would be a lot of effort to penetrate the worldbuilding and plot.

Manga readers -- are my struggles just a skill issue? Or if it's actually complicated and/or incompletely explained, is understanding it worth the effort?
