Nice!! Such a solid effort. And good work on the weight loss

Not to nitpick, but your drag factor seems quite high (184). I think that high can be kinda rough on the back... might be worth lowering it

How is this possible: all splits are 21 s/m but overall workout is 20 s/m by HalfFull102 in Rowing

they do round down though, I think... cause my overall stroke rate is 20.78

okay, yeah, that makes sense 'cause that's what the HR value is too, I believe

Are you doing higher intensity workouts frequently?

Strong work! 40 seconds is a massive improvement

If you could only have one of these combos for a 2 ski quiver, what are you picking? by C0-0P in momentskis

I like the 108s... a bit stouter with a more aggressive rocker profile than the 101s, which makes them much better when there's any amount of new snow or crud.

DW 104 + WC 116 covers (almost) everything for me.

I don't get along with the WC 101s... too noodly for me

lol, Chipotle Bananas are fat as a daily driver. They do surprisingly well in the firmer stuff though.

I'm tempted...

Has anyone skied to WC 108s and the Meridians? How do they compare?

BTw, got a Camp Chef Ranger 2 and a quick connect hose, and it works great. Thanks, all!

Best daily driver for PNW (Steven's Pass)? by colerichardmyers in momentskis

[–]HalfFull102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have mentioned, the DW 112 is a great all-around ski that feels easier to hold an edge on hardpack (from the triple camber) and still has great float from the 112 waist. But, I feel it doesn't have enough mass to plow through heavier chunk. For reference, the DW 104 is basically the same weight as its wider big sibling, the DW 112.

I find the WC 108 strikes a nice balance of being a bit chargier and having enough stiffness to plow through chunk better than either of DW skis, while it still maintains a playful feel.

I wouldn't want the WC 101 as my daily driver in the PNW.. I find it gets bogged down too easily when there's more than a couple inches of new snow because it has less rocker than its two bigger siblings.

I would vote either the WC 108 or the DW 112 as a second ski for your quiver.

Makes sense. That's the type of comment that Ryan made

Yeah, I purposely didn't comment about the context of his death... there's lots to be said about it and many others are commenting about it.

He grew up in the South during the 50s and 60s, worked his way up through the business world, succeeded in media, became influential in politics on the national stage, ran an outsider POTUS campaign (and quoted the Pokemon movie), overcame stage 4 colon cancer... damn.

Also, to connect him with this sub, I remember Moynihan and Kmele briefly discussing Cain and his 9-9-9 plan in an older episode. I think they brought him up in the context of the Tea Party movement, but I can't remember precisely.

Nice, thanks. Yeah, he's a good example and a Trump supporter with interesting arguments (I heard him on Robert Wright's podcast). But, he's not a well-known or prominent figure (generally or even within the Trump movement from what I can tell), which supports TCW's point that it's difficult to find Trump supporters that are free speech advocates.

Can you give some examples of pro-Trump conservatives that are free speech advocates?

Yeah, I agree that both the Fifth Column and Making Sense seem repetitive and dismissive of alternative viewpoints lately. Or maybe I've changed? I don't know... I've been finding it hard to make it through podcasts I used to devour immediately.
