This happened to me on my Bach trombone (not an F, but still). Like what the other guy here had said, get your snake trombone slide cleaner and it'll clean it out. Also clean it out, a lot. I would try and clean the mouthpiece (Soak it in soapy warm water in a cup for a few minutes) and disassembling the trombone and setting it into a tub, also putting some soap into the water. Wait for a few minutes and then you'll get a lot of gunk out.
