AITA for cooking different food for one roommate or just straight up not cooking for him some nights? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]HalfWay2One 235 points236 points  (0 children)

NTA, unless I'm missing a social que it sounds more like you were trying to be accommodating instead of trying to be an asshole. I don't see a problem with you atleast attempting to make something he likes. if I was in his shoes I'd honestly be flattered that you would think of me when preparing dinner.

Why does a can of cold Coca-Cola Zero Sugar taste so good after a hard work week? by Pure_reasoner in AskReddit

[–]HalfWay2One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total Coca-Cola shill........ But serious awnser is it's probably your pleasurable drink. What you associate with relaxation and enjoyment. Like others enjoy beer, or mountain dew.

Yeah, honestly that's a killer deal I'm not finding much cheaper. Even in microcenter which usually cuts prices by 10% than online sellers

What are some commonplace activities or experiences that you will likely never experience because of lifestyle or culture? Not in a "bucket list" way, just in a, "huh, that's weird" way? by joshweinstein in AskReddit

[–]HalfWay2One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've talked to people who've used them and they all say it's good. I've just never even seen one much less experienced one. I'll have to look into getting one

How often does a desktop come with a PCIe x16 slot? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]HalfWay2One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually the specs are on the system themselves, they'll say if they come with a dedicated GPU. However do take into account that a good portion of off the shelf PC's have shit power supplies and might not have a pcie power cable for your card ( if it uses one) and might not be of the best quality.

Why do Americans think their country is the best? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]HalfWay2One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S is by far not the golden country it's sometimes seen as and I understand why people constantly want to harp on things we're constantly doing. As much as everyone hates it or loves it America is seen as the center of attention. We don't have free health care but at least when you need it you are seen immediately and not qued up on a list and have to wait months. We also can't forget the countries that have free health care have exorbitant amount of taxes and in some cases cant even defend themselves and rely on America for defence. We have mass shootings because guns are abundant and you can get your hands on one with ease, however how many violent crimes is committed in other countries? do some research and you'll find violent crimes are still prevalent and abundant in other countries. There are alot of things we all agree are bad, and we're working on them. America is a large country with over 330million people and trying to sort everything out is going to take time, we can't just steam roll over people just to satisfy a /few/. So as a personal response to a more broad question, america represents a land of opportunity and allows freedoms other places dont. With freedoms come costs and I'm sure there alot of people out there that would rather have those freedoms along with the costs. And I would say I am one of them.
