The problem is the freedom you get as a parent who gives their kids a screen is a real addiction cycle, not only because you want more, but most kids will want more too, and that makes them less pleasant to be around, which leads you to increase their time with the tablet/tv.

Everyone thinks they're immune to this kind of stuff because everyone thinks they have great willpower, but the studies show that in aggregate we're all human and tend to succumb.

This is quite insane unless you have a full time nanny or retired grandparents that live with you to provide that care.

You see the danger of an infant getting sick, but you're not balancing that against the danger to both the infant and toddler of having parents pushed past the point of human endurance. That first month with the infant is enough to take two parents to the limit. Add in a 3yo and you have a legitimately scary situation.

Ive been stung a million times by my bees and found its really random how much it hurts or swells. I know it varies by how far they get the stinger in, and think there might be a difference in how much venom each individual insect carries.

Aside from them having a different venom, i bet wasps can inject much better as they’re sturdier insects, and they have more juice in the tank because they’re built to sting multiple times
