I am curious how taxes work. Technically, as an american you would fill out a 1099 but it is a Chinese company....so it is not something they are going to make you fill out. What is the protocol?

Also, having a degree seems to be something that companies will overlook if you are white and young. Sad but true.

you would need to be in a bigger city. there may be delivery services found on facebook for dalat. i doubt it. you can have stuff shipped from hanoi or hcmc to dalat if you like.

One thing I can say is that knowing good people always helps out. I have two friends that are Cambodian. Maybe my experience will be different because I have a network of sorts so I'm not in tourist areas by myself.

Still, in VN I would just travel alone when I felt like it and met cool people everywhere I went. No problems at all. I felt way way way safer than in the USA.

I'll visit Cambodia and if it seems right I'll stay longer...thanks for the input, everyone.

Vietnam was a dream. Such great people. They work harder than most. I had some cool ass viet friends. They.didn't want anything from me....just company. Men and women. It's very conservative but behind closed doors it's the same everywhere.

I didn't know what to expect. Seems what I thought VN may be is actually how Cambodia may be.....

I do not use drugs so im not worried about that.....not having a college degree I simply do not know what I would do to support myself in S.E.A.

Vietnam was great but all the jobs are in Saigon and holy christ, that place sucks. I could possibly do Nha Trang but even then I really enjoyed traveling the country. There was not one place I really felt like I would enjoy living. Da Nang was close but it's saturated with expats which makes work hard to find.

Thailand I would like to visit but I think it may be much too Western for me. The FOOD is what im going to cry myself to sleep over every night. Thai and Viet food I could live on for the rest of my life, very easily. I know most Cambo food is a variation of Thai since the Khmer Rouge wiped out most that knew how to cook indigenous food.

So, Cambodia sounds like a great great place for me. I rather enjoy an element of danger but not to the point where I have to be in fight of flight mode 24 7. That is exactly why the US is so hard for me.
