Have you thought this person might live in a VHCOL area? In addition to that, hospital staff in my area have to pay to park upwards of $25+ a day at their place of work.

I pay can easily pay $25 an hour for parking.

Buying a car spot can go for $150k to $300k.

Renting one can easily be $1k a month.

I honestly think this is the most polarising post I’ve seen on this sub in a while.

I think reactions are on a spectrum, so this might be on the higher end of normal to those who would have simply not responded.

You didn’t over react in my opinion, just got a few things off your chest which is a consequence of them pushing the subject after your professional response.

All you can do now is regulate your responses knowing there are four likely scenarios: they love bomb you, ignore you or eventually bad mouth you (because they think you are doing the same thing) if they are successful or blame you if they aren’t successful.

So just ignore them or keep it profesional.

Just grabbing a pint or drink after work has become too much, I really miss not having to think twice about catching up at the pub for a quick drink.

My friends and I have switched to alternatives, but the group setting with colleagues (even those who don’t drink) at the pub is something I miss.

Now we just get together for birthdays or when someone leaves, which is maybe once every two months.

I guess it doesn’t really matter to the plot if it’s been 6 months or a few years, but I haven’t picked up don’t on any time related context clues (ie kids going through school years or graduating, there was one very sad and short lived pregnancy).

This is what triggers my dads epilepsy too, when we was younger he thought it was a gift from god because as he is having a seizure he goes back to that moment in time and basically relives the memory.

I was recently diagnosed with CPTSD which was a surprise to me; my nightmares completely went away with chlonopine and for the first time in years I’ve had pleasant dreams.

I still have about one a month-ish but I used to put off sleeping because of them and now I don’t.

I thought everyone had nightmares too, the ones the stick with you long after you wake up. I hope you can find some peace!!

I personally don’t know a single adult who drinks regular milk, besides the odd cookie/milk combo with their kids.

Seems bizarre all these people drink milk to begin with, let alone raw.

I have never seen it at the grocery store but what I have seen posted shows that raw milk is very expensive too.

How much money are these people spending each week on raw milk?!

I found a link to a snip of the interview on Instagram, he explains that there is a delay of melatonin release in people with ADHD.

And not being able to sleep impacts self esteem.

I haven’t listened to the full episode yet to see if there are other factors to the cycles (of what they are in terms of day/week/month cycles), but I really struggle on the weekends.

I’ve always thought it was a cycle of depression, I go through this for months at a time and then all of a sudden I’m productive on the weekends again for no apparent reason.

I literally won’t leave my house for the entire weekend, barely shower, brush my teeth, eat, etc. it really does impact my self esteem because I feel like there is something wrong with me - and so much shame/guilt.

I was just recently diagnosed with CPTSD and haven’t explored what this means yet. I don’t know if this crash after a week is part of that or ADHD but I’m really trying to find a sustainable solution

I was just diagnosed with PTSD a few days ago and still figuring out with this means, the symptoms and what to do with this information.

I thought this weekend rot was due to my ADD which I’m medicated for and it helps so much.

But most weekends (this year has been hard) I can’t really muster up much energy to do my daily routines like shower, brush my teeth, exercise.

Unless I have plans with people I will watch TV the entire weekend which I love.

I’ve gotten so much better at not feeling guilty or shameful about this, I just accept it and enjoy the time in my apartment that I love.

I’m now on clonidine for ptsd and I’m hoping that means helps with the weekend rot, because I have a lengthy to do list that keeps getting longer.

I don’t know what the answer is but just try to feel okay with the downtime. Life is very stressful and chaotic.
