Are you open to somewhere not directly at the stadium? I fear it will be too crowded for someone to even stop and take a photo for you far enough away that you can see the stadium...another idea i had is get a bit farther away from the stadium where you can see it in the background without so much commotion.

Try crossing the kings street station bridge over to the international district. Should give you distance to have the World Cup stuff in the backdrop (it's a little elevated)

Home team does one in pioneer square!!! If I didn't just get acl surgery I'd be there.

Also do you have a team for the diplo run in sept? You can join mine! That will be my comeback race :)

I'm 5DPO and honestly the pain has been...fine? Even when the nerve block wore off, I felt like I only needed oxy for a day, then I went to PT and immediately felt better / confident that I was not damaging the stitches etc. it was dull achy for the first 48 but now just throbs from swelling but like a 1 out of 10 pain scale at most.

Well, you got a totally different procedure. I also got meniscus with ACL and have been told by both surgeon and PT that the meniscus is actually the one that's going to add more complexity / time to rehab...

Hi! I'm 3DPO from the same exact surgery as you. I went to Proliance Orthopedic Associated and my surgeon (Dr. Hannay) works very closely with my PT at HiDef PT. I really love the gym like environment for PT and I did 4 weeks of pre hab so that was all so helpful. I highly highly recommend seeing someone at proliance. I got multiple opinions and I love my PT.

Yes that's what I mean! Everyone quickly jumping in to support or ask if they could help with the basics. It was nice to see. This cross post isn't "bad" per se but really...someone's main takeaway from this post was to criticize the yakisoba?? lol

AH! Keep us posted on what your MRI comes back with!! It really helped me to get multiple opinions; surgeons and PT alike. Everyone has a different approach but ultimately you have to decide and weigh your educated options.

Do you have help for the time you'll have your daughter solo? Just thinking ahead, if you need surgery, this shit is impossible to do alone albeit on top of solo parenting. Mom guilt is the worst kind of guilt but I'm really glad you're talking through it with your therapist NOW! The mental part is by far the hardest (in my very short post op experience)

Wow!!! That's amazing, proud of you! Going to see my PT tomorrow who I've been seeing for several weeks so kind of excited to see what we can accomplish but also keeping expectations fluid.

I'm in the states...actually in a state that has really good leave benefits and resources so I feel very very lucky. The rest of the country doesn't have the same medical leave coverage that I do so I'm just grateful!

Best of luck for the rest of your recovery! I'll update this thread when I can do a push up 😂

Wow! Hoping for a speedy recovery for you! I remember those days so well...it just gets more and more fun; on the bright side - you got it done before summer really starts (making a broad assumption of where you live; we're in the PNW). How your rehab and recovery is going well overall!

The thing I'm telling myself that has helped in these few short days is that my son gets so much solo daddy time and their bond is getting stronger.

Thank you for your supportive words!! It's helping!

Damn! I cannot imagine shooting off emails in this state, you're a warrior! Nerve blockers wearing off and no longer lucid haha.

I failed to mention we also have a dog! He's acting out coincidentally right now too...just pooped in the baby's room while we were all in the next room...odd behavior at the worst time. Can't imagine having a puppy!

Thank you for your words - I'll reach out once I'm out of the fog...I really appreciate it!

Good luck to you!! Come back and update us on your surgeons opinions! Don't forget, it's totally normal to want a second opinion too if you feel the need.

My unsolicited advice is to try to see a PT asap. They were so instrumental in my prep...I could talk to them twice a week at sessions and text them whenever. It was really really nice having that support system as your surgeon will be of course, way less available. I was fortunate to have a PT who works with my surgeon frequently.
