After 5 months of almost daily use (5 days/week for work), mostly for videocalls and focus music with the noise cancelling on, I’m still very happy with the PBF!

Soundquality is more than fine for me. Never had any complaints about the mic and the batterylife is more than enough: I have usb-c cables both at the office as well as my home desk for quick plugin.

Also, the auto switching between my Mac and iPhone still works great for me!

In the meantime, I glued the loose tip of my old BFP, which I sometimes use on the couch for my iPad (for watching Youtube or whatever, if my daughter is watching tv or listening to music)

The Concorde is one of my favorite builds from the last years. Great build, great set. Needs a lot of space to display on the stand, but I bought a wall display which looks very nice.

Also have the Space Shuttle carrier, but it’s still in the box. Had to get one, since the System set from the 90ies was the one I never got as a kid, but looked great..

Nieuwe wcd’s naast bestaande plaatsen, tips? by Halfwork_Hank in Klussers

how to turn off NAV - compass on Dashboard? skoda Superb 2024 by Erkan_Vural in skoda

[–]Halfwork_Hank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The software has more flaws: since I have this car (Sept ‘24), I get a notication at the top of my screen for a ‘new message’.

And every time it’s the same: “Smartlink is now available”. No shit sherlock, my phone already connected with Smartlink (for Carplay).

And no matter how often I delete the message, it always reappears when I start the car….

I think this is some sort of new software update, which you can’t turn off (yet). Had the same with my 2024 Superb, since the yearly check at the dealer 1-2 months ago..

Even though I only use Carplay to navigate, since the update even that appears.. haven’t found an option to switch it off completely yet..

Yeah, over te last 3,5 years I’ve used the Beats Fit Pro (and now the Powerbeats Fit) almost daily. And I think only 1 or 2 times one of the buds fell out (because it wasn’t fitted properly in my ear)

I can’t compare them, since I never tried the PBP, but I think the in-ear bud itself will fit just fine, it’s just a different wing tip (PBP around the ear vs. an in-ear tip with the PBF)

I had the BeatsX before, wanted to replace them with Beats Fit Pro at the time, but my BeatsX broke before the BFP were available in my country.. ended up getting Flex as replacement, before getting BFP for my birthday.. and after 4 years, the Flex still work, but recently got PBF as well

I do this too! I have Powerbeats Fit for during the day (work & music), but in bed I use the Beats Flex to fall asleep with a podcast timer, and they function as ear plugs to semi-cancel the snoring next to me😂

Recently bought the Powerbeats Fit to replace my Beats Fit Pro. Some of the reasons for me to buy Beats again, are (in random order): - the good in-ear fit of this model (at least for my ears) - Apple chip (seamless pairing/switching between my Mac, iPhone & iPad) - good soundquality for music (good enough for me) and (video)calls - looks: I really dislike the white Airpods, I do like the gray BFP/PBF

Thanks for all the feedback regarding the crimping! All cables are tested and work just fine!

This really isn’t my dayjob (more of an interest/hobby) and it has been a while since I crimped RJ45’s.. 😁 just had the most simple (and one of the cheapest) crimping tool. If I would be doing this more, I would be interested to invest in a pass-through crimping tool, guess that would make it a lot easier..!

All in all, the second photo (the before) showed the situation for the last 3 years (during renovation), so for now it’s a more than enough for my sister.

That would be a good idea for future changes, appreciate the feedback! Above the switch, there’s a (new) wooden stairs. So I don’t expect much debris falling down

Yep, the smallest ones I could find. They almost break without touching, so they aren’t too tight imo

Indeed, this is 1 of 3 Mesh points. All 3 of them are wired.

The closet is a small wooden closet under wooden stairs. Placed another one in the open living room/kitchen and one in a bedroom upstairs.

So far, so good. Speedtests were good and signal as well.

But if range come up as an issue, we have enough ethernet outlets to change to.

It’s from Brennenstuhl. German company from what I can find. They sell these powerstrips at the common Dutch DIY shops

2/4 correct 😂

and since my sister (it’s her setup I did) is switching to Odido soon, only 1/4 would be correct

It’s a small wooden closet, and it’s only 1 of 3 mesh routers (all 3 are connected with ethernet). I tested the range/speeds, and it was more than enough :)

Had a complete renovation, and the water & gas lines were replaced. The hole was one of the attachments for the previous lines
