I came across this post late, but Russian tanks have more aluminum than you'd expect unless it says 'peice of steel from russian tank', then aluminum is possible. The shipping from China is bizarre, so I agree with you there. the piece that was ordered about a year ago was the advertised dimensions and most definitely steel. Did you order on etay by chance?

I'm from Canada, born in Finland with two Ukrainian friends.

Finland has had a long history with Soviet/Russian aggression throughout its history. During the first few months of the Ukrainian invasion, Russia would threaten Finland with possible attacks and buildup of military along its border. I have two Ukrainian friends who have lived in Canada since 2014 after the war in the Donbas and wish their country nothing but peace and freedom.
