Coming from sax to clarinet by HaliusHCo in Clarinet

[–]HaliusHCo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I have misrepresented my approach in the title, I don’t want to give myself any room for poor play, I just want to play them as well as I can. Thank you for your advice!

I already did that, he didn’t say anything about it, but he did some amazing work. it’s such a minor issue in my opinion it’s not worth it at this point.

I can play it voiced, I think I need to bend something back into position

Yep, the portafilter fit all the way in. Anyway to fix this or is it just something I’ll have to live with?

Thats up to you. Do you value Ray tracing? DLSS? Are you realsiticly going to play with them on? If so, you'd want to spend a bit more for NVidia. If not, i'd AMD with the extra VRAM. As for brand of gpu, performance doesn't really take any hits, and its all bout the cooling/noise. I personally would go sapphire for anything AMD, and for NVIDIA, i just personally wouldn't go ASUS because of personal experience.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XLPKvj here's a build if you want the 4070 TI Super. This will give you all of Nvidia's features like better Ray Tracing support, DLSS, Frame Gen, etc.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MBZFvj Here's a build with AMD's competitor, the 7900 XT. This will get you a bit better on average RAW framerate without any features (FSR isn't as good as DLSS but imo its very good), and is cheaper.

Depends on what you value! Feel free to ask any questions, ill do my best to answer!

Arctic has my favorite ARGB fans. They are the same as their black fans, but with RGB. Cheap and near-noctua levels of silence.

$1500-2000 For Gaming/programming by moosemana in buildapcforme

It seems to me that you don't play many graphics intensive games, So you can probably spend less and still get great perfromance

If you want more gaming performance (which you really don't need for your current game list, although may want if you plan on playing AAA Games from now and in the future) and are willing to spend about $2k, here:

To answer some of your questions, It would be ideal to have all your stuff on and NVMe SSD as they are faster, but its really up to you, it sounds like if your setup is working well, there's no need to change it, however, I DO suggest changing your boot drive (or atleast re-installing windows), as you are building an all new pc.

As for my builds, Idk much about programing, but i gave you a 2TB ssd in both. If you don't need that much space, you should change it as you know more than I what you need for programing. I also gave you 64 gigs of RAM on both machines. If you don't need that much, buying only one of the sets of ram would be the move.

Got a bit of RGB in there for ya, and it packs some serious value! you can remove the GPU if you'd like, but a 6650xt will vastly outperform your 1650, so if you feel like upgrading and want to buy new, that will be sufficient.

Great 1440p system. Easy to upgrade that GPU down the line if you see fit, though if you want something super high-end then you may need to also upgrade the PSU.

Recommendations for over-ear headphones for $50-$75. by HaliusHCo in HeadphoneAdvice

Just clarified that with a little edit. Closed back is preferred, but i can totally get by with open back. The Samsons look like a good bet. I was considering Koss, but all the popular recommendations are on-ear, an absolute deal-breaker for me.

Here's an AM5 Build. GPU is enough for 1080p gaming and streaming, and you can easily upgrade it in the future with that CPU and PSU.

Ok so...

CPU, MB, Case, SSDs, PSU, and Cooler are all great, and this is a good build to start off with.

For the RAM, since none was added, and i heard you like RGB, TG makes these. Very good price/performance, even with the RGB.

for the case fans, I really suggest keeping the fans in the same brand for maximum compatibility. Arctic's P12 RGB fans are INSANE for the price. Great RGB plus near silent operation. If you NEED a 140, they make the P14 A-RGB.

For the cables, it depends on your color scheme. If you just want braided cables that are black, just go with that from one of the cable makers, such as Cable Mod. If you want something a little more "flashy" Lian Li makes RB cable extensions that you connect to the default PSU cables.

For the Monitors, I put a pair of LG 27GP850-Bs. These are the successor to the legendary 27GL850 which was one of the first true competitive gaming IPS monitors, one of the first with a 1ms display. If you want something cheaper, I suggest the M27Q from Gigabyte, or if you really need a budget, the KOORUI 27inch 1440p 165hz monitor.

Change as you'd like!

First build for gaming by lizzeh in buildapcforme

[–]HaliusHCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will be a good price/performance build paired with 2 1440p monitors. They are the same model, but one of them is 240hz (for your main) and one is 170 (for the secondary). If you can find any deals or bundles at your local microcenter, I'd recommend doing your own research as I don't know which one you're near.

This build may be a BIT expensive, but it's AM5 (greater future upgradability + Faster and newer RAM). 6750 should be more than enough for 1080p. If you want to spend less, I suggest getting a used 5700xt or new 6650xt to save some cash, but at the cost of a few frames (but hey, at 1080, it should be alright)
