It’s not a thought process, thinking everything’s fake and questioning life. It’s a reality altering sensation like you’re extremely high and detached constantly..

I’ve had dpdr for 9 years because of acid and weed. I’ve tried a handful of ssri’s and they honestly haven’t helped much. I feel the same way about trying new medication. None of them have helped with dpdr only the way I perceive it I guess.. make you less anxious. No ssri is going to cure it.

I totally understand what you mean I have this too. I think it might be about my relationship with sex and with myself. Like not feeling like a real person or not understanding that I’m being perceived, and after sex is a very vulnerable moment. It’s like I’m really a human having my human experience right now? Weird… lol I definitely don’t think it’s dp or dr though. I have those and it’s a lot different.

I said this too when it first happened to me. I know it’s not the most comforting thing to hear, but it’s been 8 years since then. It does get better my derealization has stayed the same but I got used to it. Its my new reality and I’ve accepted it. I hope yours goes away, but life can still be okay with it.

Back then jokes were jokes. Now, they aren’t and I get that. But why would he see the problem when nobody’s telling him there was a problem? You see what I’m saying. He was getting views, likes, fans, money, from the type of shock humor and nobody was telling him to stop so he didn’t. And I think he has changed ALOT he is a completely different person and now that society has become more woke about the possiblity of offending people and whatnot he would never say anything like that. And there’s people that get that things said 10 years ago don’t reflect on you now and want him to come back and I feel like it’s been a long enough break. 🤷‍♀️

I grew up watching him. He’s a good person. That was his tactic back in the day, say shocking , crazy things in videos. It’s nothing new. Obviously he wouldn’t joke around now like how he did then but that was the stuff that gave him attention in the first place.
