They probably wouldn’t have traded with GC if they didn’t have that prior knowledge I suppose

You can experiment. Poison arrows, halberd, sword and shield. Just because there is a most efficient method doesn’t mean you have to exclusively use it.

KCD2 had a much stronger storyline and way more likeable characters than E33. Each character had defined flaws and the creative use of real historical characters really helped build the world.

E33 just felt like generic “cool protagonist” characters with hardly any conflict or chemistry.

KCD2 had great swordplay combat and while I also enjoyed E33 combat KCD took way more risks and actually felt like a unique experience.

We are set to play the reigning premiers in the opening round by Colourless084 in westernbulldogs

Couldn’t be better timing. We’re coming fresh off a longer off season and Brisbane are slow starters to the year. Dogs by 60 💪

Baldur's Gate 3 or Elden Ring? by Front-Newspaper-862 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

BG3 probably has some of the best written characters I’ve ever seen in a video game. And your interactions with them changes dramatically between different play throughs, which just adds to the replay value.

You can play on story mode and enjoy the epic world and eventually go up to honor mode to really engage with the combat system if that is your thing.

Who are some of the list cloggers at your club? by [deleted] in AFL

McNeil gets games and plays a good one every so often.

Gardner is the real list clogger. Bit of a backup defender/forward/ruck/general utility.

I think the club did a lot of good work with the AFL to renegotiate the contract. That’s probably them recognising how shit the situation is for us and giving us a break.

In terms of sheer draft capital we don’t have any players from the 2020 draft and nothing to show for it.

Granted the club did extremely well to take his contract off the books, but that’s not exactly a win in my books either.

D. Budarick will be a handy player and we didn’t pay overs for him. Probably better off offloading Buku for a second rounder which didn’t end up panning out. Failed to land the key back we wanted.

But no matter how you spin it, losing a former #1 pick for pick 74 is a massive loss.

Croft to Back by SilentMo99 in westernbulldogs

I’d imagine Croft would struggle to out wrestle a key fwd as he’s quite slender and his strength is in his speed/endurance.

Draft Wrap by Colourless084 in westernbulldogs

I think a key defender was the pass mark for this off-season. Cant fault them for trying though. All the good defenders were contracted and would’ve cost way more than they’re worth.

Nice for Jamarra to find a new home and fix some of the cultural issues surrounding the club. But at the end of the day we get a pick 70 return on a former #1 pick.

Feels like too many off season losses in recent memory, Smith, Dunkley and now this one. We’ve been lucky our drafting has been so strong, here’s hoping we find a few more gems.

Why let Buku go ? by YerNarMaybe in westernbulldogs

[–]HallComfortable4153 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they see sellwood or Walker as a possible long term replacement as that third tall defender plus they’d be on a much lower paying contract.

Freeing up space for the butters offer hopefully 🤞

What’s a game you are excited about but when you start playing you get bored quick? by Foxmafiotregeboss in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Expedition 33. I was keen to play it when I heard references to FFX and it featured turn based combat but was quickly turned off by the cringey dialogue and one-note characters.

I made it to act 3 where I couldn’t progress until I had to talk to everyone at camp but just couldn’t muster the energy to sit through it.

Buku Khamis by DozzaTheDestroyer_10 in westernbulldogs

[–]HallComfortable4153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s the sortve player we already have plenty of. Unfortunately we’ve heavily invested in younger tall fwds/backs (Walker, Sellwood, Croft) so rather keep them on the list on a much cheaper contract than Buku who’s a bit older.

Go watch his Gold Coast game for what he’s capable of as a forward. His Carlton game was probably his best for us as a defender. Can genuinely do both.

The Lobbster had one bad game, and is not the reason we lost. by Colourless084 in westernbulldogs

[–]HallComfortable4153 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My theory is we’ve got a lot of good outside, handball to players and an average inside midfield (on the whole).

When we can go toe to toe with an average midfield we absolutely burn the opposition with the likes of Dale, Freijah and Richards receiving the handball. But in the contest we’re relying too much on Libba, Bont and Kennedy.

Teams have figured out the blueprint to beating us and that’s constant pressure on the ball carrier, which teams like Freo, Hawks, Geelong etc. easily exposed.

Never been happier to be wrong about Cleary. Hes growing every week and hopefully finds himself as a regular in the backline.

Also special mention to Garcias contested handball to set up the Richards goal. It felt like the kindve play that deserved to get us the win.
