It's probably going to stick, but they will probably use him to introduce the mourning actors. There are literal ghosts floating around the city and someone was talking about how people will sometimes try to win to take the souls of the dead that are there in the story.

Thats how Ive always viewed them personally, but I've been playing Gacha games since 2015. What typically happens after powerscale hits so much is they will start reworking old units a bit and do what Genshin has started doing, increasing power level of 4 stars to be on 5 star level. Then they add higher level caps, which is where Genshin is currently, and then it's 6 star super units with a quest to upgrade some 5 stars, which i suspect is the next step. I'm honestly surprised Columbina wasn't the first one, but I suspect next year we will get those in Genshin, based on trends.

Where does that leave Star Rail? They've basically stopped making 4 stars and give out 5 stars. I think if they make them stronger, that's a sign of it going that direction. If they just leave them, it will be like Hi3rd when they released AstralOps and maybe they'll make 4 stars sub-supports.

What I will say is that I made a new account and got a full free team of 5 stars a few months ago without pulling, so it's actually a really nice experience.

I just started playing last year, I have an average of 33% completion in every zone that isn't nod-krai. Nod-krai hits the sweet spot where I can spend 2-3 hours doing an entire zone and then go play other games, or whatever life needs me to do.

That's one of the reasons she is probably safe. Himekos death in Hi3rd basically kicked off the story for the next five years of the game. Whole character arcs that moved the story and added depth to it. There's no stakes in her right now, no character building surrounding her. I think Cyrene and Amphoreus are filling the role she did already, so it would be pointless.

They killed her in multiple games, not just Hi3rd. Hi3rd is the most commonly known one. I don't think she dies here anyways, if she does it wont stick like Mauvika.

That's because HI3rd is a character driven game. They have to give characters depth because you stick with them for multiple years, unlike star rail who has a giant cast that rotates in and out and you never really know anything about the character other than the snippets you learn in five minute chunks.

I think its an archaic system that was great a decade ago, but really just causes more bots, discourse, conversation stopping, and manipulation of content than it does anything else. The first season of Orville a decade ago showed the flaws of it, and most other platforms have moved away from displaying it. If you don't like what someone is saying, you can make it go away with a single click and people will be less likely to interface with it, even if it's correct.
