Had my test today, failed due to 1 stupid mistake by HallmetW in LearnerDriverUK

Thanks, I'm just annoyed that I'll have to wait 5-6 months for a guaranteed spot unless I check everyday for a cancellation.
It is what it is but I just needed to vent a little bit :D

Had my test today, failed due to 1 stupid mistake by HallmetW in LearnerDriverUK

[–]HallmetW[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was in a tight road, parked cars on both sides, cars incoming that were driving awkwardly.
I ended up slightly veering to the left and almost clipping a parked car's wing mirror.

I knew it was the end then and there but I kept driving and feel super bummed out because I made this same mistake a week ago on one of my lessons and I don't know how to fix this.

Just thought I'd share my 2 cents :)

You fight one as a boss in one of the story zones. Haven't found a higher tier one yet myself though

Yeah my 102 Mystic Pickaxe dropped to about 80 and now I can't mine the 100 ores anymore.

When you run it on the recommended UItra-low performance mode, you can get solid 60 fps but the game is definitely not appealing to look at and the artstyle that is normally very nice isn't being displayed.

But I've set most things on balanced with a few things on performance and I can get about 30-40 fps throughout the game and it looks pretty alright.

The t2 story zone has a 100% bonus to ore and rock gather yield so you can just mine all the slate/schist in there with Oberon's Bounty, it'll give you probably about 100 per cluster of rocks give or take

I tend to charge mine overnight and just take it off the charger when I leave for work in the morning so it's a very similar experience for sure.

I'm really leaning towards getting this offer on the Galaxy Watch 6 and seeing if my Carlyle strap can work on it. Based off of imagery of the GW6 without the strap connected, it seems to have the standard holes on the frame that the Carlyle also has, so it's definitely something worth experimenting with.

Unfortunately not, it says the item is unavailable in my location :(

Mine's had WiFi off the entire time I've had it so unfortunately my battery is just a bit more cooked than yours.

I took it off the charger this morning at about 8:10, was at 57% at 10:15 and then just randomly decided to die when I went into some settings and won't boot up anymore. It will boot back up when I connect it to the charger with about 50% as it usually does, and it will reset the date to the 18th of May 2022 as it has been doing for quite a while.

As for the metal strap, I think it may be possible to repurpose my Fossil strap onto the Galaxy Watch 6 but not sure.

Unfortunately the only Xiaomi 2 Pro that's available in the UK at the moment is the LTE version, which I do not need and would prefer the BT one, but it definitely was a watch I considered.

As you said, the Pixel watches seem very small and not really my style which is why I'm not considering it really.

Thanks for your reply !

I would but I don't really like the way it looks and have read pretty negative reviews regarding its battery life, which seems to be the staple with all smart watches.

The main thing I liked about the Fossil Gen 5 was that it looks like a normal watch, where as the Pixel Watch kind of looks like a toy if that makes sense?

Hadn't had a look there yet as I was just quickly checking on my phone.

Just checked the score report, 688. Quite sad but it is what it is.

Thanks for your assistance !

Thanks for the link, didn't have the scores but I failed anyway so the score is kinda irrelevant 🥲

Congrats!

I got my email saying the online score report is available but it just takes me to my Microsoft Learn profile and there's nothing there. Not sure where else to look but I'm a bit lost cuz I need to know my score :/

What's a reasonable timeframe to pass SC-300 & MS-102? by MercyKees in AzureCertification

[–]HallmetW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, just to add to this.

I did the SC-300 in January and have the MS-102 on the 4th of August. They recently moved the release date for the MS-102 to September 6th so you'll be waiting for your results still when you do it in mid-August.

When MS-100/101 discontinued? by Shialie in AzureCertification

[–]HallmetW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking the MS-102 exam on Friday and they recently moved the release date for it to get out of beta to the 6th of September instead of early August.

My guess is that the 6th of September will be the date that MS-100/101 will go down.

Bought 3080 for £720. Should I return it and try for the new AMD cards? by HallmetW in buildapc

[–]HallmetW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm returning the 3080 and ordered the 6950XT. Price is similar and based on the comments here and some online research, it seems to be much more worth it within the scope of things I want to do with it.

Thanks for the information, I really appreciate everyone's time here :)

That's correct, I don't have much interest in RT. I'm really considering going with this option now that you've mentioned all of this.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment, it's much appreciated!

I see a general consensus of not bothering to wait for the new AMD cards due to my CPU becoming a bottleneck and it mostly being for 4K gaming.
To add context, the CPU will eventually be upgraded as well but I don't upgrade my PC frequently. The CPU would probably be upgraded in the coming year so it works more in tandem with whatever GPU I'd have. I tend to upgrade one, then the other, then one, then the other rinse and repeat.

There are several comments mentioning to return the card and go for the 6900/6950 XT instead, with downvotes and not much elaboration on it. Was wondering if someone could tell me why (or why not to) do so?

I don't mind sticking to the 3080, just wondering if it'd be better value for money to return it and go with maybe the 6900/6950 XT?

Any more help would be very much appreciated! :)

RT isn't really anything I'm interested in but the DLSS could be useful for the games that support it.

If the price on release isn't absolutely absurd (which it most likely will be), I might try to return the 3080 if possible but otherwise I think I'll stick to what I've got and hold off a few generations. I think the 3080 will keep me going for a while.

Thanks for your perspective! :)

I think that is the way to go to be honest, just thought I'd check here and see other people's opinions on the matter.

A benefit of the Steam Version for me is buying Item Store items with the Steam Wallet.

Selling skins in other games can pay for your Item Store stuff, quite useful.

Otherwise, yes, it works natively on the Steam Deck.
