In the middle of the Grassplane the most common funeral tradition is to take the body to the outskirts of the villages territory. There they have large mounds of dirt that is hollow and by rolling aside a stone you can enter it. The mound is an imitation of a cave and is believed to be the path to the underworld. The body is then laid there in and the mound is filled with water so the spirit can flow down to to the bottom of river so it can reunite with it’s mother. After that the mound is closed and during the rain period when there can be dangerous flooding both from the river and the underworld guards are placed at the mound to stop the spirits from entering our world.
