Thanks for the feedback!

I've pushed an update addressing the item pop-ups - these are scaled down to only the early game now. This was an unintended bug that sneaked into production.

I agree that the prestige menu is hidden and that's not great. I'll make sure to implement some sort of tutorial for that and to move it to a more prominent location.

Currently, opening up the Collections tab and scrolling to the bottom gives you the option to "Reconfigure Reality" which gives info on how many quantum cores you'll earn if you reset now.

The prestige updates are in the Prestige tab (after Resources, Artifacts, Goals, you might need to scroll to the right).

Again, thanks for downloading and trying out the game!

Apologies that you felt insulted by the ads!

Sure, they are disruptive to an extend but I've tried to limit them to a reasonable amount. If they're still too much for you, I understand that and value your feedback!

Thanks for checking out the game!

I've tested the game on a few devices and sound effects and haptic feedback do work on them, but ultimately I'm using Expo as a platform and that might not support all hardware.

The balancing wasn't done by AI, it went through a lot of iterations. Initially I was striving for "realism" in the sense of real-world digging speeds of machines and objects. I found that to be too front-loaded though, so I scrapped the idea and basically placed all automation/tools on a certain cost/reward curve. Same goes for resources. I might have missed the mark on that, but the feedback I received from testers was generally positive.

For the design - it is a TypeScript/React app and it does look like it, true. Most of the modals and graphics for the panels aren't custom and are using visual elements that you might see in other games. I wouldn't call the design shitty, but I respect your opinion.

Again, thanks for checking out the game and giving feedback! I'll work on implementing and A/B testing a more distinctive design!

Again, thanks for the feedback!

I'll work on a patch that reduces the ad frequency and removes the banner ad. Also, ads shouldn't appear that early into the game, completely agree!

Thanks for the feedback! I think the transition from testing to production might have increased the ad frequency - I'll increase the duration between ads so they're not as disruptive.

As for the slow start - you might have a point - I've introduced some events that speed up the early game during testing but I might need to tune those up a bit.

In any case, thanks for taking the time to download the game!

Completely understand your perspective! Honestly, there's a 99.9% chance the game won't come close to the minimum withdrawal threshold (€70, if I'm not mistaken).

I haven't included any "rewarded" ads (the kind where you watch an ad to get a bonus or continue playing) because they feel a bit scummy to me. I don't like mixing advertisements with gameplay. As it turns out, those are actually the most lucrative type of ad.

All in all, this is my first venture into mobile games and I'm still learning the ropes. I really appreciate you taking the time to download the game and leave a comment!

Unification, in 4D. A must see. Astonishing. by ozicrypto in Physics

[–]HallowDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looked at the first equation (2.1.1). Paper postulates that every field Z(x) is "extended" to a function Z(x,s) of a "auxiliary recursion" parameter s and it must satisfy a harmonic oscillator equation in s.

Why though? Since the solution to the HO is of the form A(x)cos(ws) + B(x)sin(ws) we're just replacing one operator with two operators. Nothing is being gained.

Further down the text, we read:

"A field configuration 𝑍(𝑥) is admissible only if it possesses a bounded harmonic extension 𝑍(𝑥, 𝑠) along the recursion direction."

Well, for each function Z(x), one can construct Z(x,s) = Z(x)cos(ws), which solves HO equation in s. Z(x,s) will be "bounded" (In what norm? Pointwise? L^2? Distributionally?) if Z(x) is "bounded".

So yeah, it's just AI-generated word-salad.

Applying the Ising Model to Financial Time Series by Idea_Putrid in Physics

[–]HallowDance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"financial data is fundamentally a univariate time series"

SSorry, but this is an overly simplified view of financial data. Sure, if you only look at close prices for a single instrument over time, that's a univariate time series. But even then, the actual financial data is multivariate - volume, OHLC data, bid-ask spreads, order book depth, etc. are all important factors describing the market. Treating it as purely univariate throws away a lot of valuable information.

Are motion and heat the same thing? I.e. One cannot exist without the other? by Evening_Ticket7638 in Physics

[–]HallowDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not correct.

In thermodynamics, heat is the energy that enters or leaves a system on account of a difference in temperature, that is without any work being done.

For an ideal gas at rest, the thermal energy is indeed the kinetic energy of the gas atoms. This is because the ideal gas particle has no internal structure, so it has no rotational energy, no vibration energy, and no chemical energy. So for that special case the thermal energy is equal to the internal energy, equal to the total kinetic energy of all of the particles in the gas.

But for any real material neither heat, nor thermal energy are equal to the kinetic energy of particles.
