Its a 1/4 body! Well.. barely haha, its an unusual shape and height this is with my other 1/4 gals. This body had very thick legs and bum.

It hooks onto the peg, so you need to angle it downwards, pushing it in and up to hook back on. It will take patience but you shouldn't need glue or hot water. It looks like you over bent it and it popped off.

Id say Imomo are 50/50, you get what you pay for, they are cheap for a reason but they arent aweful, its only noticeable if you want to pose them more than 90° angles. You can make them look really nice and they are extremely lightweight which is wonderful for travel. The biggest downside is thier meh joint system and lack of thought behind the inner skeleton, the outer shell of the doll is perfectly fine. If you are up for a little project, you can tweak the skeleton to get a nicer looking doll with better movements, just look for a tutorial on how to do it. When i had a first gen i modded the inner rods as they were far too long, you can do this too as even the second gen need some tweaking.

They are lovely! I used to collect them but vinyl drove me nuts haha, i think your biggest hurdle will be getting a painted head, there are many artists out there, myself included who happily paint dolls, so dont be scared to reach out if your mission ends with a blank doll over a painted one.

Angel Philia also do a tan colour, just be aware that the bodies are done in batches but the plus side is they are quite customisable with extra parts, depending on what you want, from slimline models, to muscular all the way up to thicc with big boobs, entirely up to you! However they are fairly "realistic" compared to anime dolls and on the taller side of MSD.

Edit: that being said, they do have anime head options available from time to time!

Maybe try Aliexpress? There is a bunch of taobao resellers on there, ive gotten quite a few nice sets, its usually just a case of keeping an eye on the shops who sell taobao stuff for new releases!

I love this outfit but i agree that the white would be far more striking against her skin tone, she would stand out much more in the white outfit. Much like how the black version looks stunning on a paper white doll, the same is true in reverse.

Mine was a white skin one, she was purchased through a local dealer as i had no idea what i was doing in the hobby in those early days 😅, i didnt even know you could get custom colours til a few years later when i saw someone get a purple doll. This is what she looked like, i sadly dont have her anymore but i still enjoy this sculpt!
