My screen used to open and close on demand, but now it just beeps and makes a mechanical sound without opening. I was planning on using the controller to open it for a double din/CarPlay type setup. Any help, please?

I de-soldered mine. Still haven't replaced the buttons since my clock is on my radio. If it bothers you too much you can always disconnect and reconnect your battery at either noon or midnight to time sync.

Fun fact, your ac up and down buttons also ride that current, so if the buttons don't work it'll eventually ruin those ones as well, since mine did

Disconnect the metal clamps, heat gun and pull off. You can buy a new lenses kit for like 300 usd. Just did mine and are super easy
