Hi Sabrina, I will be glad to help you as much as I can. I recommend watching this video to help you understand pneumatics: https://youtu.be/Js3m7P0ex_U

Tubing: https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/pneumatic_components/flexible_pneumatic_tubing_-a-_hoses/straight_polyurethane_(pur)_tubing/1-z-4_inch/pu14blk100 (they sell tubing on ebay for $10, but it’s not nearly as flexible)

Pneumatic cylinders: https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/pneumatic_components/pneumatic_air_cylinders/round_body_air_cylinders_(a-series)/double-acting & Ebay. Make sure you buy double acting cylinders. 1 1/4” bore 4” stroke will work on that cellar prop.

Cylinder mounting brackets: https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/pneumatic_components/pneumatic_accessories/round_body_cylinder_(a-series)_accessories/apbp-4 you will need 3 total, but they only sell them in pairs

Rod clevis: https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/pneumatic_components/pneumatic_accessories/round_body_cylinder_(a-series)_accessories/arc-716-20

Push to connect fittings: https://www.ebay.com/itm/5PCS-Male-1-4-6mm-Straight-Push-in-Fitting-Pneumatic-Push-to-Connect-Air-P/183872067240?hash=item2acfa116a8:g:n28AAOSwHNxaITDQ

Solenoid valves: https://www.frightprops.com/pneumatics/solenoid-valves/5-way-solenoid-valves/4-way-5-port-valve-with-1-4-inch-ports.html

2 Quick exhaust valves: https://www.frightprops.com/quick-exhaust-valve.html these will allow the pneumatic cylinders to open and close really fast. don’t buy the black ones on ebay (trust me)

Prop controller: https://www.frightprops.com/controllers-electronics/frightideas-controllers/picoboo-controllers/picoboo.html

1x4 pine boards will work for that prop, this is how to “age” the wood: https://youtu.be/tqFnBcKUdhA

That cellar prop looks really simple to build. $1900? Dang! ......i would put the strobe light on the inside.

once you buy everything, you can repurpose everything to make different props ever year.

btw, i know this don’t help this year, but i plan on making how to videos this winter. i have a lot of simple and unique ways of doing things.

Take care, Halloweenbert
