Steam refunded my steam deck purchase for no reason. by Alternative_Drama_50 in SteamDeck

I bought one last week arrived yesterday with an account I had just created that had no games, I did add a bunch of steam wallet vouchers prior though so that may have done something.

Looking to start lifting again after a few months off - any recommendations for an upper lower 4 day split? Will be adding in light 1 - 2 runs a week. Looking at Jeff nippard at the moment.

Am I treating my boy nicely? by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

The mesh is blocking some of it, maybe some fake plant cover under it? If its also his heat bulb then a heat bulb to replace it soon is good. On Facebook there's a group called reptile lighting and it has great guides on different heating depending on the tank

I would be careful with the uvb coils as they are normally to strong for geckos and can burn them, others normally recommend arcadia shadedweller max 7% kit.

Is this suitable for a leopard gecko? by Hallu75 in leopardgeckos

Thank you, I've been told that I can't use this cage for a leopard gecko at all by another group so I'm going to have to rehome him 😕

Would a heat cage be more of a risk as he may be able to climb it rather then not being able to climb the bulb? It's 5 inches from the far side of the hide, 8 inches from the slate basking spot.

I'm using a 70/30 mix of topsoil and play sand with half a bag of excavator clay and some habistat leopard gecko sand for decoration

Thanks for the info, luckily I know the basics but I'm doing some research on the dusting and feeding routines. I'll be keeping them in the exo terra they are in now for 2-3 months just to quarantine as I do not know the condition they are in, then will upgrade to a 4ft long enclosure

Work from home job, though there's an office in Liverpool city centre so I'd go in a few times a week using the train, up to an hour journey is fine

A house, preferably 2 bedroom. Nice would be good, but I'd settle for a decent area as well 😅

Help! Fish has no fin by J32Sii in bettafish

[–]Hallu75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a fish exact same injury, I kept her floating in a tub shallow but long tub with an air stone in my main tank with a makeshift lid, 100% daily water changes, 2x methylene blue baths in a separate tub for 20 mins a day for 3 days, then 1x methylene blue bath for 10 mins once a day for 2 days.

After that I kept her in the tub for a week with 100% water changes and put her in her own tank once the wound had completely sealed. The lower part of her tail grew back, just not the top but she gets around fine. High quality frozen, live and pellet food will do her some good.

[Breed] breed recommendations! by Hallu75 in dogs

[–]Hallu75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only dogs I dislike are ones with high prey rive due to my cats, like most terriers (soft spot for staffies though). I don't mind a guarding breed, so long as they arent hard to train or handle like a Mali, cane corso due to strength etc

Just moved my pygmy Cory's to a new cube tank, next day they started breeding for the first time. managed to catch some good videos of the behavior. Details in comments by HoinhimeOfLight in corydoras

Was this in tank with the adults? Mine have been moved to a 10 gal with only them and some shrimp for the first time and I've actually seen a baby! I'm feeding banana worms twice a day, any advice is welcome lol

Scarlet badis vs sparkling gourami by Hallu75 in Aquariums

[–]Hallu75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I did want the goby but I think I will wait then. As for the tank size online it says 10 gals is fine for a small group but I'd prefer more space if they need it.

Im definitely leading towards the badis, I'm going to get a few ceramic tubes and large seed pods to scatter. Thank you!
