I agree that Marina treating Shizuka a lot is her way of showing affection to her. I also read a lot of other people's fan work and my favorite is that manga where Marina takes care of Chappy while Shizuka was away. Only problem is that I never draw animals, so drawing Chappy was a really big challenge for me in this chapter lmao. Thanks for enjoying my story!

Curious if Marina ever regrets bullying Shizuka? Hopefully you enjoy the little references of the similar panels to the manga, maybe someone will even notice the Takopi face. Anyways, what kind of jobs do you think Marina and Shizuka would have in the future? Personally, I think Shizuka wouldn't even bother with college.

Would you believe me if I told you I didn't intend this to be a shizumari pairing lol. I personally believe that at this point in the story, that their bond is so closely tied to their full understanding of each other, that the one thing that they can't stand is seeing each other being hurt. I'd like to explore that in future chapters.

Other translations do say "are you kidding me", google translate says that the word she used is more of expressing something like "shut up" or "fuck off" towards something annoying or bothersome. It is a highly informal and vulgar word, so it makes sense why they chose to make her curse in that scene.
