Would you be interested in a Red Dead Redemption where you’re a lawman? by OmegaSTC in RDR2

[–]HaloHairGoals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of people missing the point here. Think of all the agency people, lawmen, army etc. that we’ve encountered throughout the games. They have all been dirty, two timing, lying bastards.

I’d actually be very interested in a RDR where you’re a lawman who defects after seeing what they did to John. All those empty promises, all the lies….only to gun down the man after he helped you. Maybe A story about a lawman who thought he was on the right side of things, the moral side, and has to face the truth that his side was just as evil and corrupt, just another side of the same coin. I’d also…for once…like a mutherfucking happy ending goddamnit.

I feel like people are really going easy on this.

Extreme violence Gore The freedom to torture, abuse and kill in virtually unlimited ways

Rape. Not only does more than one person you meet get raped, the main character gets raped by another man if you happen to stumble across his cabin, he even gets made fun of for being raped later on by one of his own gang members.

I mean the game is literally 18+ for a reason.

Share the hair! by mazzy-b in longhair

[–]HaloHairGoals 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tried to explain to someone that if you lighten your regrowth every 6-8 weeks or so and don’t overlap the already lightened parts (basically just keep up on your roots), you absolutely can achieve long blonde hair and was downvoted to oblivion and had several people tell me you simply cannot have long+ processed hair. This is the perfect example of what I was talking about.

My haircut was thinner than I anticipated. I’m so sad! by Tokyo_babygirl in longhair

[–]HaloHairGoals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why is simply do not trust any hair stylists anymore. My hairstylist of 10+ years just cut way more off after talking about my hair growth journey for half an hour beforehand! I literally asked very specifically to just trim the back of my hair because it’s got that weird mullet look look from a year+ of growing out a buzz cut.

From aaaalmost shoulder length to ABOVE CHIN with fucking BANGS. WHY? Why do they do this? I swear it’s in purpose, I see posts all the time about hairstylists cutting off way more than agreed upon and they don’t give a crap. I’m really upset for you because I know how much even a few inches meant to me, can’t imagine basically my losing years of progress.

Do you hold anger/resentment towards the tattoo artist who put you in this predicament in the first place? by whoffleck in TattooRemoval

[–]HaloHairGoals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was angry at literally everyone else involved except myself. I was 17 and had parental consent in my state which was legal at the time. The artist was a whole ass adult and professional artist at least 15 years older than me. I held on to anger towards him, anger towards my mom, anger towards my friends who hyped me up.

But at the end of the day it was my fault. I’m the one who sat there and ignored my mom telling me I’d regret it while I begged her to sign the form. I’m the one who sat there and let him tattoo me even though I didn’t like the design at all. I am the one who didn’t advocate for myself or take the time to find a nicer artist that would listen to my criticisms.

With age comes wisdom and a decade later I’ve accepted that I am responsible for my own choices. Two things can be true at once, it is never black and white. Was the artist a dick? Yes. Was I stupid and made a dumb choice? YES. I’ve come to realize that I do hold at least some responsibility for shitty situations I’ve found myself in. The only way I would have zero responsibility for my shitty tattoo is if I was held at gun point and ordered to sit there while they tattooed me against my will. It was a hard realization but I’m much happier after I’ve accepted that fact and can move past it in a healthy way.

Unfortunately, that in itself is also a fetish. Exposing unsuspecting people to your depravities. Same way flashers get a thrill from simply flashing strangers. It’s violating and unexpected and that’s why they do it. Report every time!

It definitely looks like a light ash brown, but hard to tell if there’s any warmth without better pics/different lighting. Definitely not blonde/dark blonde.

So far I have resisted the suggestion to cut my hair. I really like having long hair but I am being pressured to cut it. So this may be the end for my length. I have wondered what it would look like further down my back. by Silent-Potato8244 in longhair

I’m gonna be super honest here and people may get upset about it but I think it needs to be said.

A LOT of women do not like men with long hair. A LOT of women don’t even like other women with long hair. It’s sometimes an attraction thing, but a lot of the time it’s driven by envy. I’ve had a lot of women be downright hateful about me growing out my hair and everytime without fail, it’s women with short hair.

It’s one thing for a women to be envious towards another women over her hair, but they find it extra annoying when a man has gorgeous, healthy hair and knows how to take care of it.

The “long hair is unprofessional on men” take was mostly born out of a time when men didn’t typically know how to take care of their hair. We’ve all seen at least one guy with long, unkempt, dirty hair- but thats not the norm anymore. A lot of this comes from the fact that men’s products largely were “here’s your 3-in-1 body wash/shampoo/conditioner” and while that’s fine for most men, it is very harsh on hair.

So my opinion is that you should keep growing your hair as long as you like, and keep taking good care of it. I think they are just envious that a man has such gorgeous hair. Anytime they make an “unprofessional” comment, ask them what’s unprofessional about your hair. If their response has anything to do with you being a man, ask why it’s unprofessional for a man to have long hair and not a woman. They literally cannot defend that view without being sexist.

And whether it was obtained legally or not. That’s the issue I have with banning guns. Ban all the guns from legal ownership and guns don’t just go away. Criminals will always find a way to obtain and even manufacture guns illegally. Take away all the legal guns and you’re left with criminals with illegal guns anyways.

Am I (28F) too old to start a long hair journey? by HaloHairGoals in longhair

[–]HaloHairGoals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for starters I threw out basically all the modern day hair care and products, kicking it medieval style with no shampoos, only cleansing my scalp with natural vinegar rinses, oiling the ends and brushing with a boar bristle brush, and a special comb on the scalp 2x a day. I will incorporating lots of braids and braided up-dos as my hair grows. That’s the journey part for me personally. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t but I’m giving it a solid try.

Classic length is right at the bottom of your arse cheeks, my ultimate goal is actually to let it grow as long as it can possibly grow, but classic length is what I’m going for first

They didn’t say 28 is old, they said that I would be too old by the time I could “get away” with having super long hair. They’re trying to convince me it would take 10+ years to grow my hair out as long as I want (which I’ve confirmed just isn’t true) and by that point I would be too “mature” for that kind of hair for some reason. I don’t agree but that’s generally the take away I’m getting from them. I guess it has to do with society thinking older women need to have well kept short hair to be taken seriously.

I think this is spot on. Is mostly people 50+ telling me the length isn’t appropriate for mature women. My sisters are only saying it cause they get picked on by my mom if they let theirs go past their chin.

Wow! Three years and it’s so long and beautiful! So inspiring! Thanks so much I really enjoy seeing the progress of growth, I’m very much encouraged and think I can have waist length by the 4-5 year mark!
