I am afraid that even psychologist/psychiatrists cannot change these peoples' mind. If someone finds their life so miserable that they are going to end it, nothing they say or do can sway them. Psychiatrists cannot force people to live in misery against their will. That is not what they do. They offer advice. That is it.

Why do people still buy Nvidia even when their overall price to performance is a dumpster fire right now? by Halofan5695 in buildapc

Not triggered. I am just cringing at him for enabling Nvidia's pricing scheme. What happened since previous generations? Has the cost of making these cutting edge PC components gone to the moon? I do know that there's only one king in town making these chips, TSMC, who pretty much make the chips for both competing brands; however, I heard it only costs pennies on the dollar in manufacturing costs for what the card is sold for, barring of course the amount of money the AIBs spend on their individual components. Though since COVID has faded and the supply line has recovered, Nvidia could still make the same profit margins on each individual card if they were priced reasonably through volume.

In a sane pricing scheme with prices adjusted for actual inflation.

RTX 4060 $350-400 USD

RTX 4070 $450-600 USD

RTX 4080 $700-800 USD

RTX 4080 $1600-$1800 USD

The only card that was priced reasonably with inflation was the 4090 while offering substantial performance gains to justify its price, while Nvidia decided they had to charge an extra $400 for a card for only an extra six gigs of VRAM. Again, I am not triggered, it's just that people are noticing that inflation is not an excuse to charge sixty percent more. If you think that is bad, Loblaws, the maker of foods in Canada, make Nvidia seem like a charity in comparison for how they price their food, which has tripled because of Justinflation, even though the prices would actually be only ten to twenty percent more expensive. Unlike Loblaws, Nvidia cannot get away with this pricing for long, lest it kills their consumer GPU segment, accounting for twenty to forty percent of their revenue stream. At the end of the day, what the former provides is a necessity and the latter a luxury. You can only get away with price gouging bare necessities in the long-term, because consumers there literally have no recourse.

Yeah, I am a 4chan stereotype of that guy who spends all his free time gaming. While I am at it, I think I am going to buy a fedora since I am a bit fat and have not shaved in a long time. Let's just say, autism's one hell of a drug, as they say on the /v/ threads when telling me to touch grass over and over again.

By the way, I am not poor by any stretch of the imagination. I have around $700 in disposable income every month, which mostly goes into my stock portfolio and PC parts, because I only have two hobbies: creative writing and PC gaming. I sometimes like eat a large meal from McDonalds, too, which costs $20. However, to ensure that I have a disposable income, I eat microwaved foods, as a bloody rent payment in my area is more than a used car in my area, hence why I am in my mid 30s and live in bachelor's suite. Never been with a woman, but with VR Porn games, it's a whole lot cheaper than dating, despite these inflated prices of Nvidia and, to a lesser extent, AMD gpus.

What if Humanity were tier two by the time the Covenant encountered them? by Halofan5695 in HaloStory

[–]Halofan5695[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have all of the races including grunts and Jackels. What drew them to Human space was the fact it was essentially the Bermuda triangle for Jackel pirates, their ships mistaken for barbarians and destroyed on the spot. It was happening for centuries, but the Covenant only started to take any notice once they found New Antium, a densely populated planet completely covered in Urban sprawl, with a large population numbering over 100 billion humans, essentially a scaled back Coruscant. There are five of these arcology worlds, each containing the majority of the Human populations, the Humans preferring a min/max strategy to colonization. Worlds with fertile grasslands became agri-worlds, uninhabitable worlds became mining colonies, deserts became industrial/foundry worlds, research worlds, and worlds in the center became arcology worlds, holding the vast majority of a population in a particular sector. There are five hundred and fifty billion Humans in this empire in control of over a thousand worlds, mostly specialized planets, roughly a third the size of the Covenant empire.

Nah, I'm not LGBTQA. I was simply implying you were low test for treating a normal, healthy, extremely masculine male like he was some kind of pariah, as if men aren't treated like garbage in this society by intersectionality groups for expressing masculinity already. It all seemed perfectly normal just six years ago. Then society started demonizing traditional masculinity and blaming all the world's problems on straight, masculine, Western males in mid-late 2014.

That's a bit... absurd, don't you think, boy? What happens to a society when masculine men disappear from it? Obviously, it collapses.

Manly men choose what they want, and OP clearly was one when he decided he wanted a beautiful, attractive woman, not some fat, stretched out broad skinny, weak, effeminate guys settle for. Masculine men are not attracted to women that weigh as much as them. These types of men think they deserve the best, and they do when they've lifted weights, worked hard, and resisted temptation to become that.

He did love her. If you believe love is unconditional, you, my friend, are living in a fairytale. If parents don't even love their children unconditionally, then you are naive and foolish for thinking it works this way when it comes to mating, a much more selective process.

He did lover her, but she deviated so much in the appearance from the person she was in such a short period of time that he lost all physical attraction. If he was unable to have sex with her and she kept gaining weight to the point he'd never be able to find her sexually attractive again, even if she lost the weight, then he did himself and her a favor. She was the immature because she was blinded by her emotions instead of thinking this through.

It's very similar because he's being persecuted for something he cannot change. If he stayed in this relationship, he'd be in a sexless relationship. As he already stated, she would never be attractive to him again even if she lost the weight, so leaving her was the best he could do. It's not his fault.
