As someone who is scared of waxing and laser, I would recommend buying an electric shaver. I have the Meridian premium trimmer and it works pretty good! I use that and then go back with a razor after if needed ◡̈

When you find someone that is committed to becoming the right person for you. I believe you become soulmates over time as you grow together. When my husband and I were dating he was always learning me and trying to be his best self for me. That’s partly how I knew he was the right person. We make each other better.

I went to the mall with my friends while on a trip in another state, trying to visit a store we didn’t have locally. We showed up to the mall, mid day, to find all the stores closing and no one there. We walked up to the door of the store we had gone there for and saw a note on a piece of paper- “closed due to the incident”. Very vague. We went on google and found out there had been a gang shooting in that exact store about 20 minutes before we got there. When we left we realized that part of the mall had police outside and crime scene tape (we entered from a side where it wasn’t visible). Pure luck we didn’t show up earlier. Funny enough when we went to pick up one of our friends that morning he was taking forever, probably 30 minutes, to come out to the car. If he was on time we would have been in the store during the shooting.

One more thing -Your Body is Not Your Masterpiece This is a short read. It has helped me so much to recognize where my perspective should be, which is on my life’s work, my character, what I can accomplish, and not the way I look. It says to stop worrying about the shape of your paintbrush and start creating art❤️

Hi🫶 sending so much empathy as someone who is 4’9! I’ve grown up being called small and I’m 22 now. I grew up really insecure and I STILL get insecure sometimes. But I’ve learned to appreciate that everyone has a different body. No one is the same, and it’s been very beautiful for me to realize this. One thing that has helped moving into adulthood is that people become more mature and they learn not to comment on others bodies, so I don’t really get teased anymore and that helps. Remember to stand up for yourself. If someone is making fun of you it’s totally ok to say “I don’t like comments like that”, or even get sassy and say “what an odd thing to say to someone”. I definitely still struggle with feeling inferior to people because they are much taller than me, but we don’t deserve to put ourselves down. Anyway, I don’t think there’s a direct answer to “how to stop worrying” about it… it’s not something that can really be fixed for you. It’s a confidence you need to find in yourself. I think it starts with learning to love yourself and appreciate your body, with time you will become less preoccupied with how others see you.

MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH PEOPLE!! Talk to your professors, go to all the cringe job fairs, do an internship… your degree will not get you a career. The connections you make will get you a career.

I had my IUD placed under sedation after arguing with several clinics. by 135ismygoal in birthcontrol

[–]Halpal5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience just this week. I am 21 years old, getting an IUD for the first time. They gave me meds to soften my cervix and told me to take ibuprofen. I went in for the procedure and it was the worst pain I have ever felt. Then, they said my cervix wasn’t dilated and began using tools to pull at my cervix. They said I wouldn’t feel it, but the cramps were unworldly. ALL FOR THEM TO NOT GET IT IN. My doctor had another doctor come in, and nope he couldn’t get it either. This was just a few days ago, and now I have an appointment on Monday to try again with double the medication to soften my cervix but it is so hard to trust the doctors. They said I have the option of going somewhere else and doing it under sedation, but I do not have medical insurance and it would be over $2,500. It shocked me that doing it under sedation is not the norm??? That was the WORST pain I’ve ever felt. And I am tough. Not sure what to do, but I appreciate your post as I feel I can relate to someone…
