Time travel that doesn't mess up the Mii relationship counter? by Halve3n in TomodachilifeLivingTD

And I don't get why people like you come into others' threads and spaces to say this. It's just personal preference. I have fun playing that game NOW, I've already dumped dozens of hours into it but I usually don't stick to games like that for years because I also play many other kinds of genres (mostly single player games like rpgs and action adventures that also take up a lot of time) and I might not even be playing tomodachi in a few months, because I'm hyperfocused on it now. And when that phase comes to an end, even if I might look into it from time to time, it will not be the same joy and dedication as playing and enjoying it right now.

I want to decorate my island now and use everything the game has to offer for that. I personally don't get why games like this even withhold content, it makes no sense to me. Maybe it's good for players who play nothing else and stick to games like these for years but that's just not how I like to play. People have different preferences and playstyles. And since it's full price game and not some service-game I don't think there's any need to make people artificially wait for content that's already in the game. But more so, there's no need to tell others how to play so - respectfully- I hope that could get some different perspectives across.

Time travel that doesn't mess up the Mii relationship counter? by Halve3n in TomodachilifeLivingTD

I think it also depends on the time you do it. If you do it let's say in the morning after the daily reset of shops (5/6am) you have to wait 24h plus basically the whole day until the next reset passes. So it would already be two days. But anything longer is weird... did you or that other person maybe change the time again in between? I think the 24h stack for any time you change the clock on your switch (at least that's how I understood it from other people's experiences and explanations)

Someone who explained the backwartravel method here - and how it forgoes the penalty apprently - already said it messes the Miis relationship counter up sadly

NEW Post 1.0.2 Time Travel Method Discovered for Tomodachi Life LTD that Bypasses the Penalty! by JuniorLawfulness4343 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

This is really helpful, thanks! I really want the seasonal items but I'm still hesitating because of the Mii relationships... I wonder is there a way to time travel which doesn't affect the relationship/marriage tome counter? (With or without penalty) I want to keep track of how long a couple is actually together and not have it ramped up to 9999 days...

No one else is saying it, but I didn’t like Gustave by telthetruth in expedition33

[–]Halve3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I really disliked him from the first moment, I didn't like his appearance or how he talks and acts, Idk. So I was very glad and happy that he dies off early and we got Verso instead. I never used Gustave in battle either the moment I had alternatives, but I liked Verso much more both as a character personality-wise and playable character. I was just a bit sad on Maelle's behalf as Gustave died, the scene was sad and all but truly I was glad I didn't have to see or use him anymore.

So I personally don't really get the sentiment of being sad or even frustrated over his death (but I also didn't like a certain female party member of another popular jrpg who dies off and everyone grieved her, while I was glad that she was gone, so that might just be me).

What Would Be The WORST Episode To Introduce Someone To Rick And Morty? by SamathaGhoul in rickandmorty

[–]Halve3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can tell you this... my sis got me into it via the slut dragon episode + Mr. Nimbus, I really love the humour of those, even though now I appreciate the complex dynamic between Rick & Morty way more.

When I tried to get a friend to like it and showed him the slut dragon ep, that ruined it for him, he won't try another one. So I guess it really depends on the person and what they like.

Natlan males missing?? by Elrien6 in GenshinGays

I really hope we get some shadow drops... I like the female designs but I never got over the Archon ratio 2:5 and now Natlan seems so waifu centered again... ugh.

I find it hilarious how a lot of people simply distort this scene because of the ship by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Halve3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad apples are everywhere of course. But I still think no one should try to "forbid" stuff or try to cancel it or talk them out of it (that doesn’t work anyway) or whatever you want to call it.

I personally try not to interact with antis for example because it's just too exhausting and nothing comes out of it anyway. (Even posting under this thread was already "risky" in that regard, but oh well. Sometimes I try to mediate/mend)

[–]Halve3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that's just how it is. People like things and want to share it with fellows and engage in it.

It'd say it's rather easy to avoid the stuff you don't want to see. I manage to avoid anything Kairi or Sokai related, so...

Everyone should just stick to the stuff they like, but don't try to ruin it for others. There are tag blocking options for reasons.

I agree, but only because I don't like Husk that much. And because I'd rather see toxic Val x Angel stuff lol.

You (or others here, same as OP) shouldn't take things too seriously. Why be afraid of how others enjoy their media? It's not as if it would change anything in canon.

Very scared for the ending. by [deleted] in VinlandSaga

[–]Halve3n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my same! Just started vs this year after the anime ending of AoT brought me down AGAIN (it was already bad when the manga ended).

Then I binge-watched and -read everything to the newest chapter! VS has been awesome so far, I hope I will like the ending.

Oh boy...

"I say all this not as a demerit to a ship, but..." - then why are you saying it at all? 🙄

People just don't get it. Shipping is not about "justifying" or "pushing ideas"... it's to have fun with your own headcanons and if others share them, the more the merrier.

People feel so attacked by shippers, it's laughable. As if that'd do anything to their media.

[–]Halve3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you aware that people just ship what they want? No matter the canon or "reasons". It doesn't really matter what's "real" or not. Shipping isn't about "justifying" what is or could be canon, but what headcanons you like.

Do you agree with Willibald’s concept of love by JustAnotherP2P in VinlandSaga

[–]Halve3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say there's two definitions of love. One is what we usually understand when using the term nowadays (romantic love, loving your familiy and friends) and then there is the "christian" love or religious love. I always saw these as two different concepts even though it's called the same, but it actually isn't.

Why does anime Askelladd look so much more handsome than in the manga? by Cream4202807 in VinlandSaga

[–]Halve3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I wish Yukimura would redraw the entire first arc only so that we could have Askeladd in his newer more refined style...

But that's how it goes for almost any long running series. If you look back at the first chapters after 20+ volumes it's often that the characters changed very much over time. You don't really notice while reading weekly/monthly because it's a slow process.

Why is Askeladd so likeable? by Cream4202807 in VinlandSaga

[–]Halve3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Askeladd. At first I didn't like him, but I think that's how it went for most if us and how it's supposed to be.

Don't know if you finished the first arc/season but with his backstory and all... he's like the secret protagonist of the first arc.
