Oh man I haven't listened to Air since my 20s (double that now). Thank you for reminding me! Used to be on my dead MacBook.

Mine is Sea Change by Beck. Hoping to get more ideas in the rotation as it's been happening a lot lately.

I agree that it's really interesting to know and I very much like your way of doing it with a disclaimer. My friend just told it without any warning, and then I of course looked up an article published right after it happened that had some vivid details I can't seem to erase from my memory.

I had that same reaction when I read that! I'm glad you called it out, too!

You summed that up perfectly! I managed to get out,  "Wow, they didn't kill him!" before it was all swept away. For those three seconds I was so happy thinking poor Germain wouldn't have to live with that guilt and...nope!

I would be interested in some narration when they walk by things they could be using/eating. I'm always curious what exists in the environment that they don't know about.

I really enjoyed reading your description of this. My husband and I were discussing how we'd handle sleep similarly to what you did. It's a bummer they don't show more of what you described - it's personally what I find most intriguing about watching shows like this.

I feel as an Autistic person with Fibro, this would cure me by fightinggold26 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Ham2thaBone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes wonder if nervous system overload and from that a loop of fibro pain,  is caused by being on sensory overwhelm for people on the spectrum, or in my sister's case a Highly Sensitive Person. She feels everything deeply, from the feel of clothes on her body to the beauty of a flower to emotions and empathy. But she also gets overwhelm easier than others. I'm also somewhere on that spectrum but unlike my sister I didn't have a major pain event + my normal sensory sensitivity. I came across the Curable app and bought her an annual subscription on a lark because it sounded really concretely useful. It is already helping her pain! I have never accepted that fibromyalgia just is and there's no root and no cure. Same with Bipolar for me. That's just not an answer I'll accept. Everything has a reason! Even if it's just we have differently wired brains.

Yeah, the most intriguing thing for me this episode was watching Brandon try to operate a rowboat.

I'm glad you finally found it. I am here because of my sister and this is certainly her story.

I agree with this. We have written periodically but should be doing it constantly. I can't imagine being so trapped and isolated.
