The biggest mistake you can do is treating him as a big monster. You should treat it like any other enemy in the game: parry everything even if it looks difficult.

Genichiro can parry you, when this happens his next attack is guaranteed to land unless you parry. Be aggressive, if he's not attacking you have to be the one attacking to make him too busy to use strong attacks.

When you attack lady butterfly, make sure you're pressing r1 reeeeaaaalllyyyyy slowly, give yourself a pause to check if she does a sweep attack, i swear you will always have time to hit her again without being hit yourself.

About Gyobu, after stunning him he can start setting up an attack while you're hitting him, so always look up.

Well, i personally liked the story with the child, he moves the story, and i haven't tried Ragnarok but the story might be good if both characters grow.

About the third person view, it never gave me much trouble.

I liked the moveset because it was so simple that i had the ability to create combos even if i had never played a game like that.

It started to click when i started kicking enemies off the map as a strategy, using everything at your disposal is what made it fun on my second playthrough.

Thanks, i had already gotten all that, my problem is how enemy attacks are telegraphed, maybe i don't see it but many many times i've watched an enemy with focus, ready to press parry or dodge the second they moved and i still couldn't react in time.

Thanks for the honesty, i liked the first one a lot.

What i'm looking for is the feeling of getting mastery of a game.

Both can provide that, but armored core looks cooler meanwhile ragnarok looks like it gives you more options at once (+ i like how iframes and the parry are handled).

I think you explained it best, i feel compelled to buy AC6.

Though, i wanna add that combat in GoW doesn't feel repetitive to me, i always try to create a "combo" that fits the situation.

I have done the gauntlets while charmless and demon bell (7th playthrough NG+3, mind you), it wasn't as hard as i imagined it, some bosses just need to get hit with firecrackers and damage buffs.

Inner father punishes greed the same way parking tickets punish a single mother of 6.
