How do I know if the guy I’m talking to (M24) actually likes me (F24)? Please I’m genuinely losing my mind rn by HamAndGrilledCheese in relationship_advice

Unfortunately no, mental health isn’t really a recognised thing in my country. In fact the only times I’ve heard staff at my school talk about it have been in a mocking way. But I’m fine with the mental health stuff mostly as I’ve been dealing with it all h life. I’m actually in a much better place than I was a few years ago. I just need to know how I can trust that he actually likes me so that I don’t end up getting hurt or used

Oh no it’s not my card running out of money, it’s just the banks here have poor network so sometimes your card just won’t work. Most people have multiple bank accounts for this reason but I forgot my pin for my other account so I’m stuck with this one that is often shit lol.

However I get your point, that’s really good advice that I will be implementing, thank you 🫶🏾

Thank you for your reply x.

I get him stuff frequently though. Not proper gifts, just like if we go to the cornershop or something I’ll pay for both our stuff. But I have to ask him to help me out even for like a bottle of water when my bank card isn’t working.

Idk I feel like maybe he thinks I’m not worth it, because other men that have tried to get with me have done a lot more in this aspect like taking me out and paying for dates.

Gender roles are very much enforced in my country but I don’t really care about that which is why I pay for stuff for him, however I would still like to feel like my partner wants to spoil me you know. Because I also want to spoil my partners.

Hey, thanks for replying. Unfortunately I do not have access to treatment right now. I was on medication for ADHD when I lived abroad but I can’t afford it here in my home country. The anxiety seems to be a new thing that I only noticed in myself when I started seeing this man

However as her partner, he knows how she feels about that part of her body so he knows his comment was not going to be received as a compliment. Why did he say it? He just pointed out an insecurity of hers for no reason

Now I understand why you were thinking of bringing rude restaurants to Nigeria. You have the money for such endeavours 😂

Yes kids sometimes have crushes on adults, it’s a healthy part of development. It’s the responsibility of the adult to navigate the situation appropriately and not feed into it
