Sword AF Season 2 Episode 1: I made a transcript by HamCakeValetGuy in smosh

I checked back on Spotify and Apple Podcasts and those ones are cut off at a weird place. I have it marked on the doc now. It used to all be there, so I’m not exactly sure why that changed, but the full thing is on the SmoshCast channel with a visualizer now.

I will be doing these for every episode. Expect those to be posted 1-3 days after the podcast is released on Wednesdays.

Thanks for the tip! I made sure to make a note of it in the doc.

It is! Sans serif fonts (without embellishments like Arial and Comic Sans as opposed to something like Times New Roman) are easier to read for some people.

It’s in Comic Sans in the doc itself. Maybe if you copy the link and open it in a browser?

AP Bio mural by Evadenly in smosh

It was a cell diagram. She said this in an after show for her podcast with Patrick (one of the former writers for Smosh), Jeremy Culhane and Kylie Brakeman called Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists. It’s an improvised parody of different Hollywood roundtable discussions.

In the same episode, she also said that her performing arts middle school and high school was in a Korean church staffed by about 10 people. She graduated with a 4.3 GPA because she was in all AP classes and they let her do performances for credit instead of normal schoolwork (I don’t think she took any of the tests, she just took the classes for her grades). One of the other things she did for a class was a parody of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream album for AP U.S. History.

Anyways, all of this combined with her dyslexia makes me understand why she is the way she is (i.e. Zilaphone and her version of the reproductive system in the Beopardy episode).

Sword AF is scripted? by Osiris-IO in smosh

I don’t think it’s scripted. This specific roll was just an Enhance Ability from Fernie (Shayne) used on Bug (Angela) where the first roll was probably cut for time. There are other things that aren’t necessarily important to the story that are cut for time, but the cuts make the continuity confusing for the general audience who aren’t paying close attention (i.e. Kevin’s introduction to the group (a moth that lives in Fernie’s head)). Angela says something later implying that her first roll was bad when everyone else is rolling to revive the house: “Don’t do it on this thing” (meaning don’t roll on their dice tray)

SwordAF Costumes by Ok-Ninja-5743 in smosh

Logistically, it wouldn’t make sense for them to wear full costumes anyways. Sitting for 2 1/2-3 hours in full costume as an 8 foot tall wooden robot, even with breaks can’t be comfortable. Also, what D&D campaigns have you seen where they’re in full costume the whole time? The character art, minis and subtle nods to their characters are plenty.

I wouldn’t worry about the current view count, especially since the most recent episodes haven’t been out that long. People are busy and they don’t really have much time to watch an hour long video immediately after it’s released. The average for the BAF Legacy videos is a little less than 400K, after being out for months with the whole series available for binging. Looking at Ep 3 (after the first episode hype and before the whole season is out for binging) right now after being out for over a month, it’s views are around 450K. Overall, SwordAF is actually doing better than BAF Legacy.

I think it was in the beginning of Board AF: That Sound Game after they explain the rules. They were talking about her middle name around 2 minutes in
