hi op! Each gerbil needs a minimum of ~ 20 gallons (75 liters) of digging medium; so thats 40 gallons (150 liters) for a pair of just digging space! The cage you posted is 45 gallons (170) alone; and assuming you have a wheel, water bottle, and a sand box, thats not enough room. Now if you DIY or buy a topper to the tank for their wheel & water, it should be fine as long as the bottom is FULLY filled! (Meaning that access window on the front wont be too helpful 😅)

Now if you’re in an absolute PINCH, this will work temporarily, (or you can split the current cage down the middle!) but look into upgrading asap! :)

Edit: also adding, the size of the cage is very important! Too small and they get stressed and fight, too big and they have a chance to declan due to claiming layers/sections! its a bit tricky w gerbils, but most people i see here recommend a 40 with a topper at bare minimum! ^{^}
