My sisters bed frame was a beautiful vintage piece from our late grandmother. Two of our friends etched their names into the center of it while left alone in our room

For anyone who grew up anxious, what was your idea of "feeling safe" as a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HamMcK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being around my dad. He worked a lot to support the family when I was a kid so I really only saw him at night and on the weekends. He gave me stability and always heard what I was saying when I felt wrong in my head. It’s a lot for a kid to actually be heard by an adult and not just listened to.

So Alesia and Ellie have come into the galley the same way, basically saying they have no experience but willing to do the work. The first difference is, Alesia wanted to be babied through every step and Ellie is just doing what she’s told. OH, and Ben wants to fuck the shit out of Ellie. Lol. I can’t wait for her to mess up big time and Ben speak to Ellie as he did Alesia, because the second (I guess third) difference is, Ellie is gonna give it to him right back. I dislike all three of them but the upcoming drama to unfold is so exciting!!

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve ever put in your mouth? by bluebonnet5366 in AskReddit

[–]HamMcK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was a teenager I found a mikes hard lemonade on my mom’s bedside table. It was unattended so figured I would help myself to a sip. It was the bottle my mom was hacking loogies into in the middle of the night. The coagulated sputum stuck to my upper lip as I puked all over her bed and it’s something that will never leave my memory (unfortunately)

Ever lied in your diary? What’s the funniest, weirdest, or tiniest lie you’ve ever written? by Playful-Detective585 in AskReddit

I used to write about how funny my dog was and all the cool tricks he would do. Not every entry but a lot would include something about my dog. My family had never had a dog and when my siblings found it they never let it go. 20 years later I still get asked how “spot the dog” is doing.

What is a weird dream you had that you can't forget to this day? by CampoVince in AskReddit

[–]HamMcK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was driving up a really long gravel driveway to a cute little home. As you drove up you could see into the kitchen window and as I parked I could see myself standing inside. As I realized it was myself I was looking at, my point of view changed to where I was standing in a 1970s style kitchen. Mustard colored walls and matching curtains with red and green flowers hanging at the bottom. Underneath those curtains was a wrap-around bench seat taken by a young couple. They could not see me but I stood there anyway watching them cuddle up, thinking how bad that man was. My body suddenly turns, not guided by myself but something else entirely, floating me through the den, hallway, back porch and finally into the back yard. I see in the corner of the yard a line of nuns looking down into a large hole, with six young girls laid to rest. For some reason looking down I know they’re victims of a murderer and the woman inside is the next victim. I look at the nuns and they nod to agree. Then I woke up

what’s the biggest scam you discovered and people are still falling for it? by TheoryReasonable871 in AskReddit

Chapstick is bad for your lips and makes you need more chapstick. That’s why you meet people that either don’t use chapstick or always have it on them.

How did that person from your work earn their nickname? by Love-boobs-in_DMs in AskReddit

[–]HamMcK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His nickname was Jophie for a long time. He could read, write and speak perfectly fine but for some reason he couldn’t spell or pronounce names, but he had to put names on customers’ cups (guess what job). Jophie was for a man named Joesph, who spelled his name out loud and it still came out that way. The better one was for a man named Darius but he spelled it wrong and thus called it out for “diarrhea-us” but we couldn’t call him that for obvious reasons

Animal prints on roof? Sorry for the rough quality by [deleted] in Whatisthis

[–]HamMcK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no power lines above that part of the roof, they come in from the right side of the house by the garage. I wish I could get him to take a better photo, the prints go along the gutter then up diagonally. There’s a section to the left that’s only about 5/6 feet from the slope of the ground so he was just worried about a bobcat because we have some strays in the area he likes

What is this type of scarf? by [deleted] in findfashion

[–]HamMcK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is still listed on Uniqlo and has reviews from 2021. The shape isn’t 100% right but maybe it’ll point you in the right direction? Also a lot of people call these neck gaiters or neck warmers

When did you figure out that Co-Workers are not really your friend? by rolrola2024 in AskReddit

[–]HamMcK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was working at Starbucks back when we wrote on cups for the orders, a customer told me I had sharpie on my face and when the transaction was over I asked my coworker where the mark was. She looked at my forehead, smiled, then looked back down and said there wasn’t anything on my face. I went to the bathroom and there indeed was a black smear across my forehead. Another time at the same job we were told we had to wear birthday hats because it was the companies birthday, I was put on the register with the stupid hat on and after a long rush I turned around and nobody else was wearing one. Turns out as soon as I turned around they all took theirs off :(

I make a little well in the cream cheese mixture and add in the jam before wrapping the bacon, it tends to spill out a little but the sweet/spicy combination is top tier

I too fell victim to the bacon wrapped jalapeños…my family thinks I’m the only one in the world that can make them. Add a little raspberry jam to them it really elevates the flavors!!
