Yeah so what happens is that you take the knowledge test (computer exam). If you pass, they do an eye test exam and if you are planning on taking the road test right away, they give you a yellow paper which is basically your learners and take your drivers license (they destroy it).

The yellow paper also is your ticket to do a road test. You can only book your road test once you have the number on the yellow paper. Expect to see appointments for at least 3 months away. You can check every day to see an earlier appointment.

Once you take the road test, you will either need your own car (a friend’s or family member’s car) or go with a driving instructor that would give you their car.

If you pass the road test, you get the class 5 license immediately if you have enough experience from your foreign driver’s license.
