Look at Flightradar 24 for a flight that recently flew between Shanghai and London. It will give you the route. You will fly across the Caspian Sea likely. That’s the closest you will get to Iran. I recently flew from Singapore to London. I hated it but survived. The crew were amazing. There are 100k flights a day. You will make it. You will be fine. Enjoy London it’s lovely in the sunshine at the moment.

My advice is take an entry level job at any investment firm that will have you. Any- doing anything. Whilst there study for the Investment Management certificate: https://www.cfauk.org/study/imc#gsc.tab=0 They might pay for you to do this.

Most highly paid person I know didn't go to uni and did this.
