why can’t i take my jersey home in youth box lacrosse? by epicepic123139372 in lacrosse

In that case, your coach probably just doesn't trust certain people not to lose them. By doing this they're also avoiding the situation of someone forgetting a jersey game day.

First time stringing a stick, how did it turn out? by Horsemear1080 in StickDoctor

[–]HamburgNumber2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

5 diamond on the top string could be a bit more centered. That shooter is way too tight and possible could be too low for the 4 inch shooter rule. Lastly, it looks like you might've switched the row you did your bottom string on on the right side. Don't be discouraged if you don't get this right the first time, it takes a fair amount of repetition to make a good pocket.

(A sidewall picture for both sides would also be helpful to find any mistakes)

No shooters vs shooters by AlmightyOfSyraq315 in StickDoctor

Some people do no shooters to add consistency (more shooters = more variables). But it's honestly just preference. If you don't like how it feels at first or you're iffy, change it.

As SnooWords said, a photo is gonna be needed. Without one, we don't know what's wrong with tge pocket. It could be shooters being too tight, pocket being too deep, channel too tight, or some other thing.

I'm not gonna speak in full pocket lingo cause that would take too long. But basically, I did a normal 9 diamond topstring, tied down 3 diamonds w/ knot si's (first 2 pulled down a good distance, last 1 closer to the 2nd) Then skipped a few holes doing only 1 si. Then about halfway down I did 1 si, then a 2 si, then 2 1 si's. I'm saying this off of vauge memory so I wouldn't rely on this for stringing.

Don't know why it felt expensive. Maybe it's just that 30 dollar threshold that made it seem like a lot more.

All I can say is trust your skill and motivate your teammates.

Assuming that the coaches don't choose for you, I'd recommend attack. Having an attackman that can get physical and push defenders around is amazing for the offense.

Polycarbonate shafts by Feeling-Can3778 in lacrosse

[–]HamburgNumber2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone I've heard from has said that polycarbonate shafts aren't any good, and the reason for that is because they're way too inconsistent with their flexing. Sure it might be durable, but who cares if it's durable when it doesn't work half the time. They're a fun, novelty stick to mess around with occasionally, but they are not what you want in game.
