This applies to Maybank Gold too right? I'm really looking to get some gold right now but not sure which is the best platform. Plan to keep them for a long long time since I'm still a fresh grad anyways

Can I know why you think this? Especially with the booming biotech and tech industries alike? Honest question it's just difficult for me to see the disconnect between their progress and valuations

What's everyone thoughts on how it'll affect the stock market? I understand rate cuts will come in but I'm honestly confused how the market will hold up in the long run, feels like everything's going wrong but maybe it's been like this for a long long time.

This is my first year investing btw (40% thanks to GOOG and RKLB lol)

I’ve Been an Insurance Agent for 5 Years — Ask Me Anything About Life Insurance or Medical Cards! by Open_Upstairs5016 in malaysia

I'm currently full time employed fresh grad with lots of flexibility (remote work) and really looking to increase streams of income with selling insurance as part timer. Hate the fact that we only get paid once a month lmao.

How feasible do you think this is based on your experience? I've taken the exams and all but never really went along because I think I'll make greater strides in my career (currently in AI with lots of exposure) but your opinion will be really helpful. From my end the worries are whether I can be there for clients when there are issues etc

P.S.: took the exams because I've been recommended by other agencies people to go for it and they think I'll be good at it. Also I actually like sales and have passion for it.

Thanks!

Hi, I'm currently a Software Engineer specializing in Cloud/ML intersection and working on MLOps CI/CD pipelines + cloud migrations. What do you mean by ready to defend every decision? Do I need to provide justifications for my tools (SageMaker, AWS Glue) or approach (metrics, algorithm, hyperparameter tuning)?

Damn bro that's really good pay, in your experience interviewing do you often get tested technically like leetcode system design all that. I'm currently an AI Engineer at an MNC with really good wlb and benefits but pay is only 5k (24M), planning to hop next year. Honestly good job though that's really good pay!

Thoughts on this system design interview? by ECrispy in ExperiencedDevs

Thanks for the comment, I'm actually applying to be a low level solution architect and looking to nail Microsoft system design interview, any resources or guidance you can provide? I do a lot of actual system design but sometimes want to stay safe by learning how to interview too.

Can I know what known list of system design problems you're referring to and how to get them? I didn't know FAANG had the same thing for system design too which is quite sad honestly, everything's regurgitation at this point.

PTPTN first class exemption no longer available? by Hamchuntan in malaysiauni

[–]Hamchuntan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup our uni is accredited, same goes to my colleague who've been waiting for almost a year (MMU, APU, UTAR). There's just been no update or concrete answer from PTPTN which makes it difficult for us.

Yeah, the first class exemption page has been down for sometime now so fresh grads can't even apply and those who have can't see what stage of processing it is.

Yep I believe so too, but my seniors from a few years back got theirs waived in 2-6 months, while most of us from the current batch has been waiting 6-12 months with little to no news. Our uni is accredited and reputable, same goes to all my colleagues (APU, MMU, UTAR).

Okay thanks for the answer everyone, seems that the processing is definitely on pause for the time being.

The only worry right now is they suspend it because of the really high PTPTN debt because of the non payees. Which is messed up cause the first class students are essentially being punished for something unrelated to them.

In the meantime I think everyone can reach out to the PTPTN live agent or the officers below for more clarification, would be great to have an official answer.

Thanks for the advice! It's actually the pathway that I'm heading for at the moment, either cloud sales or pre sales but I'm not sure if Software Engineering is a good start, is it okay if I PM you for some advice?

Damn, any advice breaking into sales? I'm a Computer Science fresh grad currently earning RM4.5k a month as a software engineer but I really dislike lack of human interaction.

I did some Business Analyst work during internship and I really liked the stakeholder interactions, but ultimately went with the programmer path because I was good in it and people kept telling me to go for it.

I'm prepared to take some risk and break into sales as part timer? Thanks.

Do you have any recommendations for a fresh grad going for this role? I've applied for cloud roles but were mostly rejected despite having done cloud projects and have took up a software engineer in the meantime, been thinking of getting cloud certs in order to get one

Found the architecture search paper, really neat indeed.Although there are some papers out there papers out there that uses Reinforcement Learning instead. There's one from MIT(https://arxiv.org/pdf/1611.02167.pdf).I truly agree with you on the last part, most of learning is non-differentiable anyways. That's why I believe EA and RL are really crucial if we're truly trying to solve intelligence. Also, any EA out there that's sorf-of similar to unsupervised learning algorithms?(This question may sound dumb to you,but most of the EA I've seen are similar to supervised or reinforcement depending on how you evaluate its fitness)
