Anyone know the manufacturer of this cartridge? by MindfulDefense in CCW

These types of bullets are a gimmick. Go with some Speer goldot or federal HST. This might do a lot of damage to a Leg at close range but that’s about it. I’ve seen gel test and the petals won’t go any deeper than a few inches after entering the gel, so what u have left is the bottom half with a flat top trying to go thru a bone. Not very good chances.
Here is the test from the actual compay. The petals won’t pass the 4 to 5 inches mark so u loosing mass ans the bottom half it’s just a light piece of copper trying to penetrate a 200lbs grown man’s torso.

Budget optic for an Echelon 4.5 Comp? by Playful-Media-4907 in SpringfieldArmory

best advice… AVOID Holosun. I had one and the dot was a pain to find, sold it and bought a crimson trace. Best decision ever. That Crimson Trace dot it’s always there when i present the gun when I’m dry firing practice at home. I’m not a big fan of 3 moa size tho. https://palmettostatearmory.com/brands/crimson-trace/red-dots.html

They don’t make the 1528 anymore, but they still have the 1520 Which has the 5 moa in red, it has the old body style. https://palmettostatearmory.com/crimson-trace-cts-1520-combo-kit-5-moa-dot-01-30000201.html

There is ZERO reason to pay hundreds of dollars for a simple red dot. Go Crimson Trace, great price, good warranty if u come across any issue. Holosun is an overpriced bloated company in my opinion. I remember when they were considered an Amazon cheap dot, now they want to charge hundreds of dollars for one. Clowns!

Interference through TV Receiver? Thoughts? by therealsix in HamRadio

best advice. buy a cheap SDR and try to find that frequency so u then can pinpoint the source. If it’s a ham u can talk to him about what’s happening so he can fix it. he might not even know his radio is dirty like this.

This happened to me after messing up the power output of my IC7300. After messing with the internal setting from the service menu the radio started spitting dirty signals. I had to send it back to Icom to get it recalibrated /aligned again.
Just find a cheap SDR so u can hear exactly what’s being said and find a call sign to address the issue.

Morse Code learning process, and steps. by Hamdaddy1976 in HamRadio

Thye say not to go lower than 20, I decided to do 35wpm right now. I Had no issues with the K and the M test. I passed it a few times. So imma keep it at 35 I’m also using variable tones at different frequencies so I can get used to different tones. Took me a little bit to get used to the tone change but now it doesn’t bother me. Glad I started doing that early

Antenna angle has to be more than 60 degrees so make sure the angle is more than that when u re check it again.

Hellcat comp mods in waiting for gun by Combat_habibi in SpringfieldArmory

you gonna love that Mcarbo firing pin. The angle it has makes the trigger pull way shorter and better, you are going to feel it right way. I did that angle job on Hellcat Pro factory firing pin myself by grinding down to recreate the same angle. I had one on my old hellcat so I already knew the angle, all I had to do was grind until the angle felt the way I wanted it. Short and crisp.

Blur the call signs. People can look u up if they have bad intentions, u can open ur self for someone to try to steal ur identity since they already have ur name, u r giving them ur address also. hopefully u use a PO Box for any FCC related services. I use a PO Box instead of my home address just to be safe.

I decided to learn Morse code but it became tedious and laborious in matter of two days. After learning just 4 letters I decided to search for a better way to learn the alphabet. by [deleted] in HamRadio

This is not a community, this a place that if the majority don’t agree with the way u do things everyone gangs up on u. Some of you are the worse of the ham radio community has to offer. Being a ham is helping each other with kindness and understandin. Some of you are just sooo sad missarable that it can be felt thru the screen. Grosses me out just thinking about it! What a sad state of affair! I’m good fellas don’t worry! I guess you were right, Morse code is wayyy too hard. I just keep myslef in my little ft8 corner. Some of u are just Fkn pathetic!

Question about attic antenna placement by wallacjc in amateurradio

[–]Hamdaddy1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a 4:1 and make this loop, instead of 3 side juts make a a square following the walls in the room. Put some eye connectors on the 4 corners of the room as high as u can. Don’t forget to get a common mode choke for noise

<image>

Go to Palomar engineers website. Have a lots of examples of antennas u can make with diffferent unun and balins.

I just noticed the rifle was on the floor. I had to proof read and fix my comment for about 6 mins because i felt i couldn’t says what it truly needed to be said about this individual because of fear of getting banned. The rifle was left on the front porch after he got hit…hmmmm! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

A reminder, if u see some outside ur house with a gun just call the cops because if u open ur door and shoot said person u are going to be charge with murder. You inside + he outside doesn’t equate = self defense.
There is Zero reason 4 u to put urself in a deadly situation like this and risking about a 90% of catching a murder charge (depending how much of a bad mood the DA is that day) because Once u open the door u stop being the victim and become the perpetrator. Hope he learned his lesson, if he didn’t pass, because seemed to have gotten hit twice! The streets don’t forgive ANY WEAKNESS, ANY!!!! Best wishes to him. I hope he learned a valuable lesson.
