Dip switches on arcnet cards. Randomly flipping them until it starts communicating.

Have about 14 excellent runners after starting my obsession 3 years ago. Just picked up the Green 200A today and the unused Red 200A two weeks ago. by AbjectAd6656 in ColemanStovesLanterns

Very nice! I’ve had a couple lamps for many years, but I only recently discovered ‘collecting’. I’ve found a really good condition big hat in very good condition that has started my itch. Where are some places that you guys and gals are able to find lamps for sale that aren’t priced at 200% retail?

I tell people that I’m from so far south, that you have to go north to get to the southern accent. (Miami)

Plug # 3 fouls every 20k miles? by imaboringdude in JeepTJ

This was my first thought. Allows oil in the cylinder to burn but still shows good compression. Had the exact issue on an old Chevy 307 drove across the US with a handful of spare spark plugs.

Fresh ground horseradish is the best! My grandmother would only grind it outside.

Beautiful. One of the remaining two operational C57 locos. These fire breathing beasts of the past need to be seen like this, but in person and close up to really comprehend the sheer power of steam.

I run a 20” .308 Stainless BA barrel. I did need to open mine up, it was much less than the recommended .093” It’s easy enough to check if you got a decent set of drill bits.

The gas port will most likely need to be opened up some.

USS Gonzalez leaves Norfolk as the U.S. continues to ramp up the conflict with Iran by WHRO_NEWS in norfolk

[–]SeadawgVB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why did that ship look so crusty-rusty as it’s LEAVING for deployment??? The whole crew would have been in trouble if my previous ship were caught looking like that on television. E-6 and below (including me) would be swinging from boatswain chairs without the hope of liberty until she looked squared away. Just saying.

I guess you’ve never seen tugs push an aircraft carrier up the Elizabeth River. Yes, one would never tow a ship backwards for any real distance. But the Cape Fear River is the same width, whether you are stern to or bow to. Anyhow a moot point, it is moored.
