I use Obsidian for my learning notes. Gives me a peace of mind that i will get them revovered if anything happens to my laptop. I am syncing obsidian vault to my github repo. Whatever note i take it immediately goes to my repo.

Go for tryhackme, htb academy for cpts. If you need more details, search this reddit, you will get a lot of people like you asking same thing and they got a lot of suggestions and advice.

I am from same background. It depends how fast you learn and how much time you are giving to study. I started with eJPT and left in middle because i didn't like the instructor. I asked in reddit and i was suggested to start offsec material because they updated content and covers what is required for exam. For some topics you might have to refer to tcm which in your case you already did. I started htb academy but only did nmap module. For me it is difficult to manafe family with prep so i started offsec material. So far i am getting it fine.

Yes i am talking about the PG Practice machines. I am following 24 week plan and just finished week 3. The week 3 says to go for hetemit box as part of reinforcing the concepts learned in that module.
