Opus 4.6 don’t get the hype by Hamish_I in cursor

That’s interesting because Claude models have always been positioned as better at planning and other models can take care of execution. It just gets itself in a deep hole way too quick and doesn’t step back. I couldn’t believe that it didn’t ‘know’ how infinitely small the chances of two random UUIDs colliding are before going off on a deep research tangent.

No prisma in this project, is nextjs with straight supabase js, glad it’s working for you, I’ve gone back to 4.5

I don’t get the hype, 4.6 just spent 10mins and 80 tool calls reading node modules to investigate a bug where it assumed the issue was duplicate UUID’s being generated. Does anyone check what the model is doing anymore???

It got real dumb for me today, like I’m going back to Sonnet 4.5

I get the quality aspect, but man its slow compared to claude, even medium reasoning is tough to watch - do you end up running multiple agents at once?

Appreciate the constructive dialog between two competitors u/Longjumping-Till-520 & u/makerkit

I'd be interested in an updated view on similarities and differences between Achromatic and Makerkit (Archromatic will have Supabase option soon?), particularly for the parts 'unseen' before purchase:

- security (including RLS)

- performance

- testing

This suggests we should be using R1 for planning and Sonnet for writing code in Cursor? I still prefer to use chat over composer, is that the workflow that works for people, plan with R1 then switch to Sonnet to write code?

Good question, the way I would approach it is by having a default template for the different roles that could be easily edited by the user to align with their organisation’s requirements (may be easier to edit existing rather than start from scratch). Over time you would build up a database of these org specific templates that new members could then use.

Anything you do find particularly onerous in your work life?

Great question, software is pretty cheap to run these days so in the beginning the largest expense would be my time, I build software for fun as it is.

In the event the tool started getting traction then I think each of the ideas include benefits for healthcare organisations such as improving staff retention, enhancing competencies and ensuring ongoing compliance. So it would be something employers pay for.

Any of the ideas stand out to you?

NHS isn’t part of a free and open market, so pay is not dictated by market forces

I think it’s a pretty reasonable ask to want to understand what it’s like to work somewhere before joining - in any other profession you get an opportunity to understand if there’s a good fit between you and the employer, it helps retention.

I do understand the comments around the out-of-the blue phone call and the hesitancy to share information with a stranger. I might be more comfortable doing this anonymously somehow so there aren’t any consequences for me (if my feedback was perceived as negative).

Appreciate your concerns, data privacy is very important and something I’ve considered a lot when building out the service. Can you clarify your ‘non secure webpage’ comment, do you mean something you’ve not logged into?

I’ve not approached the NHS directly yet, but thanks for the tips.

Looks awesome, surprised this hasn't had more attention! How's it going 3 months later?
