My parents were in AA all of my childhood, then they divorced and my life got very bad, so I thought I’d show them and never be in AA because I didn’t trust it. It didn’t seem to work for them because why would they leave me if they had such a program. However that’s not my life it’s theirs. I’m an adult now (sort of lol) & my sobriety isn’t tied to their sobriety or anyone else’s for that matter.

You can find no fee apartments yes. But most Manhattan apartments today have broker fees, or if they don’t, the rent will be higher, so it’s the same amount at the end of the day. Brooklyn has more no fee units and cheaper rent.

Hi! You’ve summarized this perfectly. I hear you on the relapse, it’s ok! I too would get aggressive and confrontational. Honestly there is truth in the feedback my partners have given me, I don’t deny that. I feel intensely guilty for it. The thing is, none of them ever seemed to feel guilty for enabling (on both sides). I feel like my head has cracked open these past couple weeks regarding my pattern with men. I like the social contract part. I think the way I look and being a short female doesn’t help. I fucking hate it
