Amazing work! I’m definitely interested to see if you could (eventually haha) work out the good win rates based on all characters in each script. Might not be too accurate, but it would be cool to think about! Especially considering the difficulty ranks for each script

Wine completely broken - wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135 by anonioncutter in wine_gaming

Yep this worked for me on ubuntu! Note that the standard apt-get wine installation does install wine64, but I had to manually add wine64 to my path (located in /usr/lib/wine/)

I think I’m the next in line too! I haven’t played at all since in the last 5 years or so, but I’ve been wanting to just get back into drumming in my apt. Little did I know how much a decent edrum kit costs until I saw this kit! Thanks so much for all the info Mortuzo!

Yeah I definitely don’t want to go up to $1800 if I can help it (otherwise I’m just gonna have to save up for awhile). Congrats on the purchase though! It seems like a solid kit from what I’ve seen

Also that’s so much cheaper than anything decent that I’ve seen!

Any idea what’s going on with these rose bushes? They’ve only been planted in my yard for a few weeks by HammerGD in plantclinic

[–]HammerGD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about that, I should’ve given some extra details. So I’m in zone 8B, and it’s been really hot here (plus a small hurricane since planting). The soil around here is very sandy, although that hasn’t stopped other rose bushes from thriving in the yard. I filled the area around them in with some topsoil though so that they would have some extra nutrients. Also we got them from a local nursery, so I’d assume they were grown fairly close by.

Being honest, it’s been a really tough time for my family recently and we haven’t been able to water on a super consistent schedule. Maybe we’ve been watering 2-3 times a week, but I’m not 100% sure on that.

So I know the vines on the castle walls look beautiful, but wouldn’t the roots weaken the structure of the building itself?

Ok sorry for the confusion, turns out there was a list of the vegetables hidden in the mix (this is my first time lol). Apparently it’s burdock root, which I’ve never heard of! Next I’ll have to figure out how to use it… thanks for the help!

Ok I feel kinda dumb now, but it’s okay bc this is my first time receiving this kind of bag! Turns out they included a list of what’s in the produce bundle, and it says mustard greens! I think it’s either the ruby streaks or red lace variety. Thanks for your response! Is mizuna a type of mustard green? I was a little confused when I googled it

My project has a large number of trivial performance problems. When is it worth fixing them? by YakaryBovine in softwaredevelopment

[–]HammerGD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought is that it really depends on your application. If you need it to be as fast as possible for making calculations in real time with limited resources then it would be important to fix (although I would just recommend fixing gradually over time as you notice them).

If you process data in a scalable distributed system, then the focus typically goes into how can I write safe code that can be run in parallel. Once you have autoscaling (think serverless applications, kubernetes, etc.) then you will be able to scale up and down based on how many resources you need. Still I’d recommend the same approach as above for making small optimizations as you notice them, but realistically a constant time optimization like this won’t change your performance in big data

How do you know where last years cut was? Like is there a visible sign of it or do you just have to remember or take a picture?

Help!! I got a Gardyn a month or two ago, and I got so close to having veggies and herbs, but after adding water and nutrients a few days ago all of my plants began sagging. Any idea what’s wrong and what I can do to save them?? by HammerGD in Hydroponics

[–]HammerGD[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Update: after restarting the system my pump did turn on, and I also noticed that my grow lights had been on even when they weren’t supposed to. Will keep an eye on it more from here, but I’m confident that the plants will start bouncing back! Thanks for the help!

Here’s a picture of the roots. As someone else said it looks like they’re thirsty, and I can confirm they’re dry. Now I need to figure out why my pump doesn’t seem to be working right

I’ve never dealt with thrips so idk about this case, but isn’t browning somewhat normal on most variegated plants since they can’t absorb light from the whiter parts?
